After the Falcons signed defensive tackle Grady Jarrett to a four-year extension on Monday Qadree Ollison Jersey , word was that linebacker Deion Jones was the next on the list of players in line for a new deal.Jones’s agent Drew Rosenhaus is in Atlanta on Wednesday for meetings with the team about a new deal for the 2016 second-round pick. D. Orlando Ledbetter of the reports that the meeting could result in an agreement on a new contract before the day is out.Jones established himself as a key defensive piece for the Falcons shortly after joining the team and his importance was underscored by the defense’s struggles while Jones missed 10 games with a foot injury last year.Should the linebacker’s deal get done, it may be time for the Falcons to turn to the other side of the ball. Wide receiver Julio Jones has been in the market for a new deal for some time, but said he would not be holding out of training camp in a bid to force the issue. SEATTLE (AP) — E.J. Manuel made a strong bid to stick around in Oakland. Austin Davis did the same to find himself a home likely somewhere other than Seattle.Manuel threw for 255 yards and three touchdowns in the competition to be Oakland’s backup QB, and the Raiders closed out the preseason with a 30-19 win over the Seahawks on Thursday night.Manuel completed 18 of 22 passes in the competition with Connor Cook to be Derek Carr’s backup. He hit Keon Hatcher on both of his touchdowns in the first half and added a 45-yard TD to Saeed Blacknall in the third quarter. Hatcher caught a 45-yard TD in the first quarter when he spun off Seattle’s Justin Coleman as he was being tackled to the ground, never touched the turf and completed the catch-and-run score that was upheld on review.Manuel found Hatcher again on a 19-yard TD strike late in the second quarter.“During the week, practicing for this game, the starters were on a whole other field. I felt like I was the older quarterback of the group Marquise Brown Jersey ,” Manuel said. “I felt that it was kind of upon me to get guys in the right mindset and make sure we’re still ready to play. Even though this was the fourth preseason game, you can either go one of two ways: You cannot care about it or you can actually take advantage of it and try to put a cap on it, how hard you’ve worked in training camp.”Raiders coach Jon Gruden was unhappy with the performance of both Manuel and Cook after last week’s game and both played well in their last chances to make an impression on the new coach.Cook came on late in the third quarter and threw a 22-yard TD to Hatcher in the fourth quarter. Hatcher had eight catches for 128 yards.“I was really pleased with the way E.J. came in here tonight. He was a captain and I thought he asserted himself, threw the ball well and moved the team,” Gruden said.Oakland finished the preseason 3-1, while Seattle went 0-4, its first winless preseason in franchise history. The teams will meet in Week 6 in London.Davis made a strong audition for other teams. The Seahawks acquired Brett Hundley in a trade with Green Bay on Wednesday likely marking the end of Davis’ time in Seattle. But he was still tasked with playing the entire first half against Oakland.Davis was solid even if one of his completions was a deflected pass that was caught by right tackle Willie Beavers. Davis finished 13 of 20 for 194 yards and an 81-yard touchdown strike to Damore’ea Stringfellow. Davis also led a two-minute drive at the end of the first half that culminated in Mike Davis’ 1-yard TD run. Seattle coach Pete Carroll said he was also pleased with the performance of rookie Alex McGough.“Both those guys with the news that comes in going into Thursday http://www.ravensauthorizedshops.com/authentic-jaylon-ferguson-jersey , they both competed really beautifully and showed well,” Carroll said.Seattle rookie linebacker Shaquem Griffin had a team-high seven tackles in the first half and found his way into the action all over the field. Griffin, whose left hand was amputated as a child, could be in line to start the opener after starter K.J. Wright had arthroscopic knee surgery earlier this week. Seattle also used veteran safety Maurice Alexander at linebacker in the second half. Alexander said coaches presented him with the idea earlier this week.“I’m well prepared for it. K.J. and Bobby (Wagner) are always in my circle,” Griffin said. “Even during the time that K.J. was gone, he was helping me. He called me every day. He made sure I was in my playbook. He made sure that I was studying. So even when he’s not around me he’s still helping make sure I get better.”INJURIESCarroll said right tackle Germain Ifedi twisted his ankle in the first quarter. Carroll didn’t believe it to be serious, but said he didn’t have details.STARTERS MISSINGBoth teams used only a few starters and for very short stints. For Seattle Miles Boykin Jersey , offensive linemen Ethan Pocic and Ifedi were in on the first drive and starting running back Chris Carson got two carries for 5 yards. Barkevious Mingo also got time on defense. The only Raiders starter of note was defensive end Tank Carradine filling the role normally held by holdout Khalil Mack. Carradine had the Raiders only sack in the first half.BEAST MODEMarshawn Lynch made the rounds saying hello to former Seattle teammates and staff during pregame warmups. Lynch was out early before the game and jokingly put a wrestling move on Seattle general manager John Schneider. He had a long conversation with linebacker K.J. Wright that included another former Seahawks player and current Raiders linebacker Bruce Irvin. His conversation with Seattle coach Pete Carroll was far shorter. After several minutes of awkward standing around, the pair spoke for about a minute before moving on to other conversations.NATIONAL ANTHEMEven though he wasn’t in uniform Lynch continued to sit during the playing of the national anthem. Seattle’s trio of Duane Brown, Branden Jackson and Quinton Jefferson went into the Seattle locker room during the performance of the anthem and returned to the field immediately after the conclusion.UP NEXTRaiders: Oakland will open the regular season on Monday, Sept. 10 hosting the Los Angeles Rams.Seahawks: Seattle will be at Denver on Sept. 9 in Week 1.

Longtime NFL backup quarterback Landry Jones may play his next game in the XFL.The XFL announced today that Jones will be one of the participants in its “summer showcase” workout tomorrow. As PFT previously explained http://www.jaguarscheapshop.com/cheap-authentic-quincy-williams-ii-jersey , the XFL is doing Combine-style workouts in each of its eight cities to try to identify the best available players.Jones’s workout is in Dallas, and although that doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll play for the Dallas XFL team, it seems highly likely that he will, given that he previously played for Bob Stoops at Oklahoma, and Stoops is now the coach of the Dallas XFL franchise. The 30-year-old Jones spent five seasons as Ben Roethlisberger‘s backup with the Steelers before being released last September. He spent less than a month with the Jaguars during the 2018 season, but did not play. He then spent two months with the Raiders this offseason. After the Raiders cut him he may have concluded that his best chance of earning a living playing football in the year ahead is to do it in the XFL. MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — After Kirk Cousins underthrew Adam Thielen, one of 10 failures to move the chains out of 11 third-down plays for Minnesota, two of the team’s best players engaged in an animated and heated discussion on the sideline as the Vikings frustratingly settled for a field goal right before halftime.A duo that connected on 113 passes for 1,373 yards and nine touchdowns in its first year together was struggling, again, in a late-season game to get in sync. The Vikings never found their rhythm Ryquell Armstead Jersey , again, against that daunting Chicago defense. The latest flop by this expensive and decorated offense sealed their fate as a team that didn’t make the playoffs, following a 24-10 defeat by the Bears on Sunday.“I love our group of guys, and we weren’t ready for it to end,” Cousins said, “but unfortunately it’s over for this year.”The Vikings (8-7-1) punted on their first five possessions, finally getting a first down with six minutes remaining in the first half. They finished with a season-low 164 yards and took four sacks. For the third time in five December games, against playoff-bound New England, Seattle and Chicago, the Vikings had just one touchdown.Cousins, who signed an $84 million http://www.jaguarscheapshop.com/cheap-authentic-gardner-minshew-ii-jersey , three-year, fully guaranteed contract after leaving Washington as a free agent, finished with a career-high 30 touchdown passes and a career-best 70.1 completion percentage. He passed for 4,298 yards, topping the 4,000-yard mark for a fourth straight season.Considering the situation he entered, though, after the Vikings reached the NFC championship game a year ago, the overall assessment of his debut in purple will lean toward disappointment. The only team the Vikings beat this season that made the playoffs was Philadelphia, which ironically leapfrogged them on the last day with a 24-0 win over the Redskins.“I don’t have a menu in front of me of all the tough losses,” Cousins said. “I’ll tell you it’s not the first. It won’t be the last. It’s a part of the journey. You play in this league long enough Marquise Brown Jersey , you’re going to get kicked in the teeth. It’s going to happen. Tough times don’t last. Tough people do, right? I have a lot of intestinal fortitude.”The Vikings didn’t exhibit much of that until their drive late in the second quarter, after falling behind 13-0.Cousins went deep down the middle for Thielen on third-and-5, when a facemask penalty by Deon Bush on Thielen during the incompletion gave the Vikings the ball at the Chicago 31. Dalvin Cook dropped a short second-down throw, when Cousins and Cook had a miscommunication about the path of the route and the timing of the pass. Then on third-and-6, Cousins threw toward the sideline. The ball hit the turf at the 6, after Thielen had widened his route behind Kyle Fuller in attempt to reach the front corner of the end zone.A few seconds later, the TV cameras captured Thielen yelling at Cousins on the sideline. Cousins shouted back, “Hey, I don’t have 10 seconds!” Then once Thielen was calmer, Cousins was seen acting out how he expected Thielen to adjust his route in order to get open for the ball.“Adam’s my guy. He’s the best http://www.ravensfootballauthentics.com/jaylon-ferguson-jersey-authentic , and I want to have more of those conversations,” Cousins said. “I actually liked the passion back and forth.”Thielen agreed.“It definitely wasn’t anything with Kirk,” Thielen said, “and it actually turned out to be a really good conversation. We talked a lot about what I could have done better and on what we could have done in the second half to exploit their defense.”Though Thielen and Diggs became just the seventh pair of teammates to each post 100-plus receptions in the same season, the Vikings finished in the bottom half of the league in far too many statistical categories.“That’s something we were trying to find the entire year, what this offense is and how we can be successful,” Thielen said. “There were glimpses of it this entire season, but you have to be consistent in this league. Individually I wasn’t consistent, and this offense wasn’t consistent enough to win.”

NEW YORK (AP) — The NFL will stage four games in London and one in Mexico City next season D.K. Metcalf Jersey , with the Jaguars, Chargers, Rams, Raiders and Buccaneers serving as hosts. When the games will be played and who the opponents will be won’t be announce until the spring, when the league schedule for 2019 is released. The Jaguars have a deal to play annually in London. The Chargers, Rams and Raiders are considered to be playing in temporary stadiums — the Los Angeles teams will move into a new facility being built in Inglewood that won’t be ready next year — and the Raiders will be leaving Oakland for Las Vegas in 2020.Days after the Chiefs-Rams game scheduled for Azteca Stadium was moved to Los Angeles because of poor field conditions in November, the NFL announced it would be returning to play a regular-season game in Mexico City in 2019.This season had three games at Wembley Stadium in London — one of those was scheduled for Tottenham’s new stadium, but was switched to Wembley because the Spurs’ building was not ready. Previously, the NFL announced that two of the 2019 London games would be at Wembley http://www.seahawkscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-cody-barton-jersey , the other two at TottenhamEarlier this year, the Seahawks beat the Raiders 27-3, the Chargers defeated the Titans 20-19, and the Eagles beat the Jaguars 24-18.The NFL has played regular-season games in London since 2007. It played one in Mexico City in 2005, then not again until 2016 and ’17.“Our league’s global presence continues to grow and expand through the success of the NFL International Series and we look forward to showcasing the Buccaneers organization to an international audience,” said Brian Ford, the team’s chief operating officer. The Bucs agreed to participate in an international game as part of their bid to host the Super Bowl in 2021. They’ve played twice in London, losing to the Patriots in 2009 and Bears in 2011.“I’ve been associated with games out of the country before,” coach Dirk Koetter said Gary Jennings Jr. Jersey , “and when you get to them, I think the players do enjoy that week. Trips are long, usually you’re rewarded on the back end with your bye week. Once you’re over there, it’s football. It’s new and it’s different.” LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) — Whether they were loading up around Mitchell Trubisky or swinging a last-minute blockbuster trade for Khalil Mack, the offseason was all about the quarterback for the Chicago Bears.Develop their own — and harass their opponent’s.Now, it’s time to see how it all comes together. But the Bears sure look like they are poised for bigger things after four straight last-place finishes in the NFC North. They spent much of the offseason surrounding Trubisky with the weapons they believe he needs to succeed, hiring the offensive-minded Matt Nagy to replace the fired John Fox after a 5-11 season and adding play-makers such as former Jacksonville Pro Bowl receiver Allen Robinson. The biggest addition? That would be Mack, acquired from Oakland on Saturday.A two-time All-Pro and three-time Pro Bowl selection http://www.seahawkscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-phil-haynes-jersey , he has 40 1/2 sacks in four seasons. Mack gives an already solid defense an elite edge rusher, though he’s not the only important addition. The Bears added a potential cornerstone player when they drafted inside linebacker Roquan Smith at No. 8 overall.Clearly, general manager Ryan Pace is thinking big.The Bears have made the playoffs once since the 2006 team’s run to the Super Bowl. They have five straight seasons without a winning record. And they have a fan base that’s antsy yet energized. Here are some things to know as the Bears get ready to open the season at Green Bay on Sept. 9:NEW MONSTER: Mack is the best pass rusher acquired by the Bears since Julius Peppers left Carolina to sign with them in 2010.His arrival could turn a defense that ranked 10th overall into an elite unit. And it gives coordinator Vic Fangio — who re-signed after getting passed over for the head coaching job — a major weapon. More pressure on the quarterback could lead to more interceptions for the Monsters of the Midway after they had one of the lowest totals in the NFL last season with eight. That was a big sticking point for a defense that ranked seventh against the pass, ninth in scoring and 11th against the run. The Bears also tied for seventh in sacks.NEXT STEP: Whether he makes the sort of leap Carson Wentz and Jared Goff did in their second seasons, the Bears are banking on Trubisky to take at least a few big strides. They also expect him to hit a few more bumps along the way.“The first time we get out there and play a real game in Lambeau and we play that first regular-season game, there’s gonna be hiccups,” Nagy said. “He’s gonna learn from that. Then we just continue to grow as the games go by. Mitch can handle all of it.”Trubisky threw for 2,193 yards and completed 59.4 percent of his passes in 12 starts last season. But the No. 2 pick in the 2017 draft also threw as many touchdowns as interceptions (seven). But he’s playing in a more open and aggressive system with some new receivers, something the Bears sorely lacked. Besides Robinson Ugo Amadi Jersey , they also added receivers Taylor Gabriel and rookie Anthony Miller, as well as tight end Trey Burton.NEW TERRITORY: Though he comes with a reputation for developing quarterbacks, one thing Nagy does not have is experience as a head coach. He didn’t even start calling plays until late last season with Kansas City, where coach Andy Reid handled those chores. And he never really had to worry about the defense or special teams until now.“It’s one of those things, some coaches are offensive, some coaches are defensive, and he’s a guy that can really rally all the guys,” guard Kyle Long said. The Bears certainly needed a lift after going 14-34 over three seasons under Fox. That gave him the second-worst winning percentage in franchise history.ON THE MEND: Almost as important as Trubisky’s development is the health of Robinson and Long. Both players are coming back from injuries and hoping to flash their old Pro Bowl form.Robinson tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during last year’s opener with Jacksonville. The 2015 Pro Bowl receiver was injured on the Jaguars’ third play and missed the remainder of the season.Long, a three-time Pro Bowl lineman http://www.bengalsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-drew-sample-jersey , is healthy after two injury-filled seasons. He’s coming off shoulder, elbow and neck surgeries, not to mention a major ankle injury in recent years.CATCHING UP: The Bears were drawn to Smith partly because of his speed. Seeing how quickly he can catch up following a holdout wasn’t what they had in mind. The inside linebacker from Georgia showed up 30 days after rookies were supposed to report to camp. He was the final pick in this year’s NFL draft to sign by the time he agreed to a four-year contract that guarantees $18.5 million and includes an $11.5 million signing bonus. There was a holdup over contract language.

One door closes Ben Banogu Jersey , multiple doors open.Without hours of being fired by the Dolphins, free-agent coach Adam Gase already had been linked to “a majority” of the open jobs. With seven other jobs currently open, that means at least four teams are interested in Gase. The Cardinals clearly are; they’ll interview him on Wednesday. The Broncos clearly aren’t — and Gase likely wouldn’t be interested in returning to Denver after getting no consideration for the head-coaching job after John Fox was fired. That would leave the Browns, Jets, Bengals, Packers, and Buccaneers as the other potentially interested teams. All, including the Cardinals, need someone who can work with a quarterback. Gase Parris Campbell Jersey , from his work with Tim Tebow to Peyton Manning to Jay Cutler to Ryan Tannehill (pre-ACL tear), has shown he can work with quarterbacks. Some (maybe many) in the media don’t see it that way, leading to a disconnect between how some (maybe many) reporters view Gase and how some (maybe many) owners and General Managers view him. (Fortunately for Gase, only the latter opinions matter.)The critics in the media point to the fact that Manning basically ran his own offense, but does anyone think Manning would have tolerated a coordinator who couldn’t keep up with the quarterback’s OCD ways, encyclopedic knowledge, and supercomputer recall? Browns owner Jimmy Haslam surely didn’t get to the point where he badly wanted to hire Gase in early 2014 without getting a strong endorsement from Manning, whose connection to Haslam goes back to Manning’s time at Tennessee. Will it be easy to sell Gase to a fan base or local media based on the last two years in Miami? No. Does he need to be balanced in an organization by a strong voice that will, for example Bobby Okereke Jersey , counsel against cutting Mike Pouncey or trading Jarvis Landry or blindly and stubbornly sticking with Ryan Tannehill? Yes. But nothing wins people over like winning, and that’s what the Dolphins were doing in 2016 before Calais Campbell went low on Tannehill, and before the Dolphins found themselves in a stew of challenges and adversities in 2017 and 2018.That doesn’t guarantee that Gase will get a head-coaching job, but he’ll undoubtedly land somewhere as an offensive coordinator — and he’ll likely do enough with that offense to inevitably become a head coach, again.Regardless of what the critics think. Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr was ready to leave, and then he decided to stay. He emerges from the situation with a five-year, $67.5 million deal. Here’s the full breakdown of the contract:1. Signing bonus: $13 million.2. 2019 base salary: $2.9 million, fully guaranteed.3. 2020 base salary: $10 million, guaranteed for injury at signing and fully guaranteed on the third day of the 2020 league year.4. 2021 base salary: $12.3 million Khari Willis Jersey , $7.1 million of which is guaranteed for injury at signing and fully guaranteed on the third day of the 2021 league year.5. 2022 base salary: $12.4 million.6. 2023 base salary: $14.9 million.7. 2021-2023 per-game roster bonuses: $31,250 per game, up to $500,000 per year. The deal also includes up to $3 million in escalators based on sacks from 2020 through 2023.All told, Barr will receive $15.9 million fully guaranteed at signing and total guarantees of $33 million. And the Vikings will keep one of these key defensive players in place, at least for the next few years.

HOUSTON (AP) — Trying to make a strong impression for a chance of playing in the NFL Chuma Edoga Jersey , Houston Texans rookie running back Terry Swanson said he saw an opening and never looked back.Swanson had a 37-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter to lift the Texans to a 14-6 win over the Dallas Cowboys in their preseason finale Thursday night. The undrafted rookie running back out of Toledo, who served as an understudy to the Chiefs’ Kareem Hunt in college, found a hole with five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter to put the Texans up two scores. Swanson finished with 69 yards on 17 carries.“It’s a dream come true to score my first NFL touchdown like that,” he said.“I wanted to have an opportunity to show what I can do. The odds are against you being an undrafted free agent, but for something like that to happen, puts you at better odds.”Both teams rested their starters.Houston took a 7-3 lead in the first quarter after third-round pick safety Justin Reid intercepted Cooper Rush’s pass to set up a 4-yard touchdown run by Alfred Blue. Blue, competing for the backup job behind Lamar Miller, rushed for 18 yards on four carries, while Troymaine Pope rushed for 21 yards on five carries. The Cowboys scored on two field goals from backup kicker Brett Maher, one on their opening drive from 57 yards and one late in the fourth quarter from 41.Texans backup quarterback Brandon Weeden started and went 3 for 9 for 22 yards. Behind Weeden, Joe Webb went 11 for 18 for 136 yards.“We didn’t do much offensively,” Texans coach Bill O’Brien said. “I wouldn’t say it was a stellar offensive night. I thought the effort was good, but it just wasn’t great, offensively http://www.jetsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-trevon-wesco-jersey , all night.”With the offense struggling, O’Brien got plenty of film on his punters, engaged in a tight position battle. Veteran punter Shane Lechler and rookie Trevor Daniel, went back and forth, with Lechler punting five times for 212 yards (42.4 average) and Daniel punting four times for 163 yards (40.8).After Daniel excelled in the first half, he punted one out of bounds that went just 30 yards. Lechler followed with a booming 61-yard punt to the Dallas 20-yard line.“Both guys have really done well,” O’Brien said. “Shane Lechler, in my opinion, is a Hall of Famer punter. He’s competed at a really high level. And Trevor Daniel is a really good young punter. Both guys have done a really good job.”Lechler, who was very complimentary of Daniel’s talent and work ethic, said regardless of the Texans’ decision, he has no plans of retiring this season.“I know one thing — I fought as hard as I could every day,” Lechler said. “Every time we went out there and punted against each other, that was a game day for me. I have no regrets.”For Dallas Clelin Ferrell Jersey , Rush played the entire first half and some of the third quarter, finishing 14 of 25 for 83 yards and two interceptions. Behind Rush, Mike White went 13 for 21 for 118 yards. After another lackluster performance, Rush was asked if he was concerned Dallas might look elsewhere for a backup quarterback.“I don’t even worry about that,” Rush said. “It’s not my job to worry about it. It would be a waste of time on my part to think about stuff like that.”The Cowboys finished their preseason winless for the first time since 2014 when they went 12-4 in the regular season.“Certainly whenever you go out there, you want to win and we’re competing to win,” Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said. “But that doesn’t override some of the other objectives that we have.”The two Texas teams will have a regular-season rematch in Houston in Week 5 on “Sunday Night Football.” Dallas leads the series 3-1 and has won the past three meetings since the Texans won their first-ever matchup in their inaugural game in 2002.Cowboys starting quarterback Dak Prescott served as a team captain during the coin toss, even wearing his helmet. Before kickoff, however, Prescott put his helmet away and immediately exchanged his cleats for sneakers to settle in as a sideline spectator.Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott, who didn’t play during the preseason, said at halftime he’s excited to get back on the field.“Camp is long, the preseason is long, but there is nothing like that first game when the lights come on for real http://www.raidersauthorizedshops.com/authentic-josh-jacobs-jersey ,” Elliott said.Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson also wore sneakers, even fashioning a makeshift bandanna out of a towel. While many Texans starters wore baseball caps on the sideline, nose tackle D.J. Reader stood out with a gray bucket hat.NATIONAL ANTHEMNo players from the Cowboys or the Texans kneeled during the national anthem.MANCZ GETS EXTENSIONThe Texans signed starting center Greg Mancz to a two-year contract extension on Thursday. Mancz, an undrafted free agent out of Toledo in 2015, played 10 games, starting seven, in 2017. Houston used a second-round tender on Mancz in the offseason and will pay him $1.907 million this season.GREGORY NOT WITH TEAMCowboys defensive end Randy Gregory spent Thursday in Chicago meeting with NFL officials to discuss his place in the league’s substance-abuse program and his treatment plan, all “part of the process” as Garrett said before the game. Last Sunday, owner and general manager Jerry Jones said he anticipates Gregory will be available for the season opener.INJURIESCowboys: Backup strong safety Kavon Frazier, who did not play in the game, wore a sling on his left arm on the sideline to support his left shoulder that popped out of socket against Arizona. Garrett said it was just a precaution.NEXT UPCowboys (0-4): open their season at the Carolina Panthers on Sept. 9.Texans (3-1): visit the New England Patriots for their season opener on Sept. 9. DeMarco Murray is retiring from the NFL.The 2014 Offensive Player of the Year made the announcement on ESPN on Friday, four months after being released by the Tennessee Titans.Murray, 30, lost his job to Derrick Henry last season and was due to make $6.25 million in 2018 when the Titans let him go. He ran for 659 yards and six touchdowns last season Johnathan Abram Jersey , dealt with a knee injury late in the year, and missed the Titans’ final regular-season game and two playoff contests.“I think you just wake up,” Murray said. “I’ve always heard the saying when you know, you know, and one day that day will come, and for me it was the last year or two. … I’ve been constantly thinking about this. Working out still, in great shape, feel great and it’s time.“I just woke up a couple weeks ago and it started to burn and burn and trigger and it got deeper, so this morning I decided to call it a career.”The Titans acquired Murray in a March 2016 trade with the Eagles. Murray had spent one year with Philadelphia after playing four seasons with the Cowboys. Murray was playing for Dallas in 2014 when he won the NFL rushing title and Offensive Player of the Year honors. He was a dominant force that season for the Cowboys, who went 12-4 to win the NFC East. Murray ran for a league-best 1,845 yards, then signed a five-year, $40 million deal as a free agent with Philadelphia in 2015.With the Eagles, Murray started eight of 15 games played and ran 193 times for a team-best 702 yards. Once coach Chip Kelly was fired http://www.raidersauthorizedshops.com/authentic-trayvon-mullen-jersey , Murray’s contract was one of those Philadelphia unloaded. The Titans couldn’t wait to add Murray as a running threat to help protect quarterback Marcus Mariota. Behind a revamped offensive line, Murray proved very durable, playing through a torn plantar plate in his right foot. Murray led the AFC and was third in the NFL with 1,287 yards rushing on 293 carries. It was second-most carries of his career and his second-best rushing season. But last year was problematic and ended in injury. And now, without a team or a job, Murray is leaving football.“I’m very blessed to have had the coaching staff and the players and teammates that I’ve been fortunate to play with the last seven years of my career,” Murray said. “It’s been a long time thinking the last year or two physically, mentally, emotionally. I think it’s time for me to hang it out there. As hard as it is … the fans have been great. I had a lot of great games and a lot of great teammates. It’s bittersweet, but I think for me it’s the right timing for myself and my family moving forward.”

Last week: 4-9Totals week 4-10 against the spread: 41-46-3Houston (-2.5) vs. ArizonaTom Savage vs. what looks to be Blaine Gabbert is not exactly the best that the NFL has to offer. However http://www.bearsfootballauthentics.com/riley-ridley-jersey-authentic , the two defenses in this game have been scuffling a little bit, so some points should be scored at least.<em>Pick: Arizona (+2.5)</em>Baltimore (-2) vs. Green BayBrett Hundley proved me wrong last week, and he looked really comfortable in the second half vs. the Bears. The Packers are gaining confidence in him.<em>Pick: Green Bay (+2)</em>Detroit (-3) vs. ChicagoThe Lions’ offense seems to finally be completely healthy, and Trubisky still has yet to show that he was worthy of a No. 2 overall draft pick.<em>Pick: Detroit (-3)</em>Jacksonville (-7.5) vs. Cleveland The Browns played well on offense against Detroit last week, but the Jaguars’ defense is probably the best in all of football.<em>Pick: Jacksonville (-7.5)</em>Kansas City (-10.5) vs. New York GiantsThe Giants are just a mess, and the Chiefs are coming off a bye. Andy Reid is 16-2 following bye weeks, which is pretty good.<em>Pick: Kansas City (-10.5)</em>Minnesota (-2.5) vs. Los Angeles RamsThe Vikings are one of the most well-coached teams in football Shareef Miller Jersey , and so are the Rams. This is being hyped up as the “game of the week,” and rightly so.<em>Pick: Los Angeles Rams (+2.5)</em>Tampa Bay vs. Miami (pick em)This game is just…. bleh. I’ll take Cutler at home against a bad Tampa secondary, I guess.<em>Pick: Miami</em>New Orleans (-7.5) vs. WashingtonWashington surprised us a few weeks ago by beating Seattle on the road, can they do it again? With the way the Saints are playing on both sides of the football, I have my doubts.<em>Pick: New Orleans (-7.5)</em>Los Angeles Chargers (-6) vs. BuffaloThe Bills are going to regret benching Tyrod Taylor.<em>Pick: Los Angeles Chargers (-6)</em>Denver (-2.5) vs. CincinnatiAt home, Denver should finally snap out of that funk they’ve been in. Joe Mixon lost 10 pounds. The Bengals’ top rookies spent the last few weeks finishing their college careers and getting ready to try to make an immediate impact in the next one. The receiver and running back will be front and center between now and the season opener. An offense that slipped considerably last year is hoping the infusion of its top two draft picks will make a big difference right from the start against the Ravens on Sept. 10 at Paul Brown Stadium. The rookies are up for it. ”Everybody’s a home run threat,” Mixon said Tuesday before the first practice of a mandatory minicamp. ”What we’re adding to this offense with me and John, and they’ve already got A.J. (Green) and Brandon (LaFell), just the other pieces added to the puzzle – it’s going to be dangerous.” That’s the hope down the line. First, the rookies had some things to complete. Ross finished his undergraduate degree at Washington http://www.raidersauthorizedshops.com/authentic-isaiah-johnson-jersey , a big moment for his family. ”It was probably bigger than getting drafted in my opinion, just because I feel like it’s something that can’t be taken away from you,” Ross said. ”I was the first generation to graduate in my family, so it was pretty big for me and everybody.” Ross is still recovering from a torn labrum and will be limited until training camp. He ran and did agility drills on Tuesday, but didn’t wear a helmet or participate in any passing drills that would force him to extend his arms. The speedy receiver – he ran a record 4.22 in the 40-yard dash at the NFL combine – got a crash course in the Bengals’ offense after he was drafted. There was a lot more to learn when he showed up for minicamp; the team gave the rookies a deeper look into the playbook. ”Everything’s not all new,” he said. ”I’ve seen a few of the things. It’s new material, but it’s not as hard as I thought it would be.” Mixon spent the last few weeks losing weight. He was 238 pounds when the Bengals drafted him Devin Bush Jersey , the most he’s weighed during his football career. He increased his workouts, cut back on carbohydrates and dropped 10 pounds for the start of minicamp. ”I’ll never be that big again,” he said. ”Never.” Mixon’s role will be one of the main story lines of training camp. The Bengals have incumbents Jeremy Hill and Giovani Bernard, who is recovering from a torn ACL suffered midway through last season. Cincinnati took Mixon in the second round because he’s so well-rounded, overlooking his suspension as a freshman at Oklahoma for punching a woman in the face. Mixon’s locker is right next to Ross’ locker, leaving the two linked in all they do going forward. ”I just can’t wait to see him on the field,” Mixon said of Ross. ”When we’re on the field http://www.steelersfootballauthentics.com/diontae-johnson-jersey-authentic , everything is going to take care of itself.” For the second year in a row, the Bengals are entering a season with a lot of newness on offense. Last year, Ken Zampese was promoted to offensive coordinator after Hue Jackson became Browns head coach. Rookie receiver Tyler Boyd developed as the season went along. ”Last year, there was a lot of stuff that was new with (Zampese) taking over as the coordinator, then a couple new receivers,” quarterback Andy Dalton said. ”We don’t have that this year.” NOTES: The start of the first minicamp practice was delayed about 15 minutes because of storms. The Bengals are the most northern NFL city without a covered field. … CB Dre Kirkpatrick didn’t participate in drills as he recovers from a hand injury. —

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Rookie tight end Irv Smith Jr. and backup wide receiver Brandon Zylstra each had touchdown receptions for Minnesota and the Vikings displayed depth and versatility in their passing game in a 25-19 exhibition victory over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday night.Kirk Cousins led the starters for two drives http://www.brownsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-austin-seibert-jersey , the last one yielding a chip-shot field goal by Dan Bailey, and finished 6 for 8 for 68 yards without a turnover. Second-string quarterback Sean Mannion made up for an interception that safety DeShawn Shead returned 88 yards for a score by finding Smith with a short throw into the end zone just before halftime. Then Kyle Sloter delivered the touchdown pass to Zylstra in the third quarter, polishing off a decent night for an offense that underwent an offseason scheme change after an underwhelming first year with Cousins at the helm. The first team took two turns for the Seahawks, too, and Russell Wilson went 6 for 9 for 82 yards without a turnover after sitting out the preseason opener. He had a 33-yard completion to Jaron Brown, who has a starting wide receiver spot for now following the retirement of Doug Baldwin. First-round draft pick D.K. Metcalf did not play because of a leg injury. Brown’s catch set up the first of four field goals by Jason Myers.Seattle’s pass rush was strong in the first half, with Barkevious Mingo pressuring Mannion as he threw before Chad Beebe was expecting the ball after his turn on a hitch route. The blocking for Minnesota will continue to be the most scrutinized aspect of the team, and the starting offensive line, missing injured right tackle Brian O’Neill, was vulnerable in spots. Cousins and rookie center Garrett Bradbury shared a botched under-center snap resulting in a fumble the Vikings recovered.Mannion went 11 for 14 for 88 yards. Sloter finished 11 for 13 for 116 yards.SAINTS 19, CHARGERS 17CARSON, Calif. (AP) — Taysom Hill had 191 yards of offense and directed three second-half scoring drives to help New Orleans past Los Angeles. In a game where Philip Rivers and Drew Brees were sideline observers, Hill supplied most of the quarterback highlights. The third-year Trysten Hill Jersey , all-purpose player was 11 of 15 for 136 yards and a pair of touchdowns and ran for 55 yards. New Orleans trailed 17-3 at halftime.Hill threw a 27-yard TD pass to Austin Carr with 3:10 remaining in the third quarter to bring the Saints (1-1) to 17-10.Hill then directed an 11-play, 69-yard drive midway through the fourth quarter that culminated in a 1-yard TD pass to Devine Ozigbo. The Saints went for 2, but Hill was sacked by Anthony Lanier II.Following a Chargers punt, Hill drove the Saints into field goal range, where Will Lutz made a 28-yarder with 1:08 remaining.Troymaine Pope returned a punt 81 yards for a TD for the Chargers (0-2). Andre Patton had five receptions for 62 yards. PITTSBURGH (AP)JuJu Smith-Schuster hid his eyes, counted to 10 and went looking for Le’Veon Bell. The Pittsburgh Steelers rookie wide receiver found his team’s star running back crouching behind the goalpost, then proceeded to chase Bell all the way to the sideline as part of a hastily planned touchdown celebration. ”That was just us being dramatic,” Bell said with a smile.Article continues below ... In a good way for once. Smith-Schuster never did catch Bell, by the way . Now he knows how the rest of the AFC North feels about the surging Steelers. Ben Roethlisberger threw for 224 yards and two scores, Bell added 192 total yards and Pittsburgh’s defense dominated the Cincinnati Bengals in the second half of a 29-14 victory on Sunday. A bit of a hot mess after getting upset at home by Jacksonville two weeks ago, the Steelers (5-2) have figured things out quickly. They shut down Kansas City on the road last Sunday and followed it up by suffocating Cincinnati in the second half to move into a tie for the AFC’s best record as their once-again promising season nears the midway point. Pittsburgh held the Bengals (2-4) to 19 yards over the final two quarters, intercepting Andy Dalton twice and sacking him four times. ”The sky’s the limit,” Steelers linebacker Bud Dupree said. ”Not even the sky’s the limit. We’re not going to put a ceiling on our head. We’re going to keep going up.” Cincinnati came in looking to add some street cred to their resurgence after their 0-3 start http://www.cowboysauthorizedshops.com/authentic-connor-mcgovern-jersey , but instead spent the second half reverting to the kind of ineffective offense that got Ken Zampese fired two weeks into the season. Dalton finished 17 of 30 for 140 yards and the two picks while playing on a twisted ankle. Dalton’s final pass symbolized a frustrating afternoon. Facing fourth down and trailing by two scores with 5 minutes left, Dalton scrambled to his left and then simply threw the ball away to seal Cincinnati’s eighth loss in its last night meetings with Pittsburgh. ”Any time you lose a division game, especially to the Steelers, the way they’re playing, every game counts,” said Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green after being held to three receptions for 41 yards. ”It’s tough. It sets us behind even more.” Chris Boswell added a Heinz Field-record five field goals for Pittsburgh, which posted its highest points total and appears to be rounding into form as Halloween nears. Two weeks after openly questioning whether he still ”had it,” Roethlisberger put together easily his best half of the season. He hit Antonio Brown for a 7-yard touchdown to cap Pittsburgh’s first drive, found a wide-open Smith-Schuster for a 31-yard score in the second quarter and threw a perfectly placed 23-yard deep out to Brown late in the second quarter to spark a drive that ended with a 24-yard Chris Boswell field goal that put the Steelers up 20-14 at the half. Dalton and Cincinnati appeared ready to keep pace early. He connected with Brandon LaFell and Tyler Kroft with first-half touchdowns, but when the Steelers turned the pressure up, the Bengals crumbled. Cincinnati managed just one first down in the second half, much of which Dalton spent on the run or throwing into trouble. Joe Haden collected his first interception with Pittsburgh when he made a juggling grab that set up a field goal by Boswell. William Gay added one later in the third quarter on an ugly overthrow by Dalton. GOOD TIMES Smith-Schuster’s joyous game of hide-and-seek turned out to be Bell’s brainchild. He approached Smith-Schuster – who at 20 is the NFL’s youngest player – about 10 minutes before kickoff with the idea. Smith-Schuster, who earlier this season paid tribute to the cartoon ”Dragon Ball Z” after scoring in Baltimore Tony Pollard Jersey , jumped at the chance. ”We didn’t practice it or nothing,” Bell said. ”It just kind of happened.” HEISMAN’D Bell’s day included 35 carries for 134 yards and three receptions for 58 yards, including a 42-yard catch-and-run in the second quarter that featured Bell stiff-arming Cincinnati’s Dre Kirkpatrick to the ground. ”I’ve been doing a lot of boxing, so that helped me today,” Bell said after the Steelers improved to 12-0 when he has at least 25 carries. TRICKERATION The Steelers put it out of reach late thanks in part to a 44-yard fake punt pass from Robert Golden to Darrius Heyward-Bey. The team has practiced it weekly for years and Golden found a streaking Heyward-Bey to set up Boswell’s final field goal. ”Horrible form,” Roethlisberger said. ”I told him it looked like he was casting deep sea fishing. But hey, might have been the best pass of the night.” EXTRACURRICULARS Oft-suspended Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict let his disdain for the Steelers known early. Burfict declined to shake hands when he came out to midfield during the coin toss. Burfict, who was suspended for the first five games of last season for a helmet-to-helmet hit on Brown during a playoff loss to the Steelers in January, 2016, then appeared to kick Steelers fullback Roosevelt Nix on the second snap of the game as the two were emerging from a pile. Nix declined to get into specifics about Burfict’s behavior, saying simply ”that’s football.” INJURIES Steelers tight end Vance McDonald left with a knee injury and did not return. Cincinnati linebacker Kevin Minter exited with a knee injury in the first half and did not return. UP NEXT Bengals: Host struggling Indianapolis next Sunday. Steelers: Visit Detroit next Sunday night. Pittsburgh has won last four meetings with the Lions. —

RENTON http://www.clevelandbrownsteamonline.com/anthony-zettel-jersey , Wash. (AP) — The Seattle Seahawks are addressing one of their biggest offseason needs as veteran defensive end Ezekiel Ansah has agreed to a one-year deal with the team, according to a person with knowledge of the deal. The person spoke to The Associated Press on Wednesday night on the condition of anonymity because the deal had not been announced by the team. NFL Network first reported the agreement.Ansah will join the Seahawks after six seasons with Detroit and may not be the final move made by Seattle in an attempt to bolster its pass rush with sacks leader Frank Clark traded to Kansas City before the draft last month. Two years ago, Ansah had 12 sacks and in 2015 had 14 ½ when he was voted to the Pro Bowl for the only time in his career. But his health will be a major concern with Ansah’s arrival in Seattle after he played in just seven games last season for Detroit due to shoulder problems that lingered the entire season.Seattle waited until after Tuesday’s deadline when free agent signings would count against compensatory picks in next year’s draft before reaching an agreement with Ansah. Seattle coach Pete Carroll made it clear during the NFL draft there were additional moves to come to help the pass rush.“There is work that we’re engaged in (during) this stage of filling up the roster and we’re very involved in what is coming up next,” Carroll said on April 27. “We’re not done http://www.detroitlionsteamonline.com/jahlani-tavai-jersey , we have work to do. We’re excited about what’s coming up and you guys will see in time.”Ansah played last season on the franchise tag with the Lions and earned $17.1 million for a season that ended on injured reserve.Seattle’s decision to trade Clark before the draft ended up landing the Seahawks a bounty of needed picks in the draft and freed up more than $17 million in salary cap space, but also saw 13 sacks leave town from the one proven edge pass rusher on their roster. Jarran Reed had 10 ½ sacks from his defensive tackle position last season, but no other Seattle defensive lineman had more than three sacks. If he is healthy, Ansah will be an immediate boost. Seattle drafted L.J. Collier in the first round to play defensive end http://www.houstontexansteamonline.com/kahale-warring-jersey , but he was the only one of Seattle’s 11 draft picks used to address the pass rush. With the addition of Ansah and Collier, the Seahawks pass rush options now include Quinton Jefferson, Brandon Jackson and Jacob Martin. EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — The Texans and Jets will be without starting wide receivers http://www.indianapoliscoltsteamonline.com/bobby-okereke-jersey , with Houston’s Keke Coutee and New York’s Quincy Enunwa inactive because of injuries. Both Coutee (hamstring) and Enunwa (ankle) had been previously ruled out for the game Saturday.Texans wide receiver Vyncint Smith is also inactive, as are running back D’Onta Foreman, cornerback Deante Burton, offensive tackle Roderick Johnson and defensive ends Carlos Watkins and Joel Heath.Jets cornerback Trumaine Johnson (foot) http://www.jacksonvillejaguarsteamonline.com/jawaan-taylor-jersey , running back Elijah McGuire (ankle) and linebackers Jordan Jenkins (shoulder/ankle) and Kevin Pierre-Louis (shoulder) are all active after being listed as questionable.Inactive for New York are Enunwa, wide receiver Deontay Burnett, linebacker Jeremiah Attaochu, defensive lineman Folorunso Fatukasi http://www.jacksonvillejaguarsteamonline.com/gardner-minshew-ii-jersey , offensive lineman Ben Braden and defensive backs Derrick Jones and Jeremy Clark. The Jets also have all three quarterbacks — Sam Darnold, Josh McCown and Davis Webb — active for the first time.

It's an understatement to say that the NFL is chock-full of talent right now http://www.detroitlionsteamonline.com/austin-bryant-jersey , even by the standards of the premier football league in the world. At every single position there are generational-type talents, and players who can produce like few we've seen before. This naturally means that plenty of players get pushed to the side, and are fighting for a prominent role, even if their talent level says they should be a consistent starter. Simply put Max Scharping Jersey , there are a lot of players who need to produce in the 2017 season to keep their job, even if they have done so in the past. The names in this category include some of the better players in the league at their position. But a combination of coaching regime changes, and personnel upgrades at the same position have left them without a guaranteed starting role for the long-term. There's no doubt that the teams who employ these players are all high on their ability, but not to the degree that they're going to be married to the idea of keeping them for years to come. This means that the individual players are going to have to prove that they belong. Let's take a look at some NFL players who need to have a standout season this year.Ranked below are 15 NFL players who NEED to perform in 2017...0r else. Tight end Dwayne Allen wrapped up his visit with the Lions and is on his way to Miami to meet with the Dolphins Brian Burns Jersey , Josina Anderson of ESPN reports. The Patriots released Allen on Saturday, and he already has met with Buffalo and Baltimore as well as Detroit. The Ravens since have signed tight end Nick Boyle to a three-year contract extension. The Lions have former Patriots defensive coordinator Matt Patricia as their head coach, and the Dolphins have former Patriots defensive play caller Brian Flores as their head coach. Former Patriots assistant Brian Daboll is the Bills’ offensive coordinator.Allen, 29 http://www.pantherscheapshop.com/cheap-authentic-greg-little-jersey , was used primarily as a blocker in New England, making 13 receptions for 113 yards and a touchdown the past two years. The Dolphins are looking for a veteran tight end to pair with second-round rookie Mike Gesicki, who made 22 catches for 202 yards and no touchdowns last season. Miami also has Nick O'Leary and Durham Smythe under contract at the position for this season.

Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper has more reason than many people to keep an eye on the salaries of the NFL’s top wide receivers Michael Jordan Jersey , but he said he wasn’t too focused on how Michael Thomas’s negotiations with the Saints were going ahead of Wednesday’s announcement of a new deal in New Orleans.Cooper said, via Jon Machota of TheAthletic.com, that he’s “more interested in just playing football” and saw word of Thomas’s contract on social media, although he noted again that he wasn’t following the news but “it follows me” because he has social media.Cooper called the five-year deal a “big contract” and said the deal was good for Thomas, but isn’t sure whether it will have an impact on his own contract talks.“I don’t know if it will. Hopefully,” Cooper said.Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said this week that the Cowboys don’t want to be “a market-setter” when it comes to contracts for Cooper and others. The Saints didn’t share that aversion and we’ll see if that helps move things along for Cooper. INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The Indianapolis Colts‘ defense was reeling early this season. After six games, it had allowed an average of 30 points, had given up 37 or more points in three consecutive losses, was languishing near the bottom of the league’s overall rankings and showed no sign of a turnaround.Today http://www.raidersauthorizedshops.com/authentic-hunter-renfrow-jersey , those performances are almost recognizable. Though the names remain essentially unchanged, the Colts overcame that dismal start and have emerged as one of the NFL’s stingiest units and a key cog in Indy’s playoff run.“We feel good, we’ve been rolling,” rookie linebacker Darius Leonard said. “We just want to keep it going. We want to keep everything rolling.”Leonard and his teammates face their biggest challenge yet in Saturday’s divisional-round game at Kansas City. But the timing couldn’t be better for a young, suddenly sturdy defense that still has plenty to prove.Over the past six weeks, the Colts have given up 12.0 points per game, posted their first shutout in four years and ascended to No. 11 in the rankings. But many wonder whether the defense can hold up against the league’s highest-scoring team.So far, Indy (11-6) has passed every test. The defense has played a vital role in two five-game winning streaks. Indy is one of two teams that have not allowed a 100-yard rusher this season and have had at least one turnover in 16 of 17 games.Outsiders have noticed the turnaround by a unit once regarded as a weak link.“I think the players have bought in and they play hard,” Chiefs coach Andy Reid said. “They’re accurate with their assignments.”Reid isn’t alone.Leonard Zach Brown Jersey , the league’s leading tackler, was named first-team All-Pro last week, and first-year defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus interviewed Sunday for the Cleveland Browns’ head coaching job. Though he wasn’t hired, the dramatic ascension could help Eberflus stay on the coaching radar. What’s changed? Not much personnel-wise from opening day.Defensive tackle Al Woods and linebacker Skai Moore both wound up on injured reserve. Margus Hunt moved from defensive end to defensive tackle and Pierre Desir claimed one of the starting cornerback spots. Otherwise, the lineup remained as consistent as Eberflus’ message.“When you keep doing the same things over and over again and you get good at the fundamentals of the game, then you can start adding a little bit to your package because the guys understand the basics,” Eberflus said.“You can never move on or never forget the basics of what your system is about. That to me is the hustle, the intensity, taking the ball away and being smart players.”Eberflus Shareef Miller Jersey , initially hired by Josh McDaniels and retained by Frank Reich after McDaniels backed out of the job, scrapped the 3-4 defensive front from previous coaching staff and installed the Tampa-2 preferred by general manager Chris Ballard.Reich was on board, too, remembering how the system helped the Colts win a Super Bowl during his first stint with the team. The scheme relies largely on speed and trust and was a perfect fit for a team trying to rebuild. Only three full-time starters returned in the same spot this season while a fourth, Jabaal Sheard, moved from outside linebacker to defensive end, but the simplicity shortened the learning curve for everyone, including the youngsters. And after six games, things started to mesh. Leonard became the breakout star Devin Bush Jersey , the pass rush became more consistent and the run defense tightened up.“We go into this game knowing that we can beat the best,” Leonard said. “Once you go in as an underdog, there’s a lot more chips on your shoulder. It makes you want to play harder. It makes you want to win more.”NOTES: Four-time Pro Bowl receiver T.Y. Hilton (ankle) is one of five players who did not practice Wednesday. The others are defensive tackle Denico Autry (shoulder), receiver Ryan Grant (toe), safety Malik Hooker (hip/foot) and defensive end Tyquan Lewis (knee). Hilton expects to play. … Tight end Eric Ebron (hip), receiver Dontrelle Inman (shoulder/finger) and Sheard (knee) were limited in practice.

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Members of the Pittsburgh Steelers‘ defense are eager to play again. They’re going to have to wait an extra day. They want to put a forgettable performance against Kansas City in the past and prove themselves this week against an upstart Tampa Bay offense. The Steelers will see where they stand during their first prime-time appearance of the season Monday night against veteran quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and the undefeated Buccaneers.“We want to get that rotten taste out of our mouths and just get back to playing football Zach Gentry Jersey ,” defensive end Cam Heyward said on Friday. “It’s a great opportunity against a good offense.”The two-time defending AFC North champions are winless through two weeks. The Steelers (0-1-1) are off to their worst start since 2013, which was also the last time they missed the playoffs.Last week, Chiefs first-year starter Patrick Mahomes became the second player to throw for six touchdowns against Pittsburgh, and the first since Hall of Famer Jim Kelly did it for Buffalo in 1991. Mahomes threw his six scores to five players and finished with more touchdowns than incomplete passes.“We’ve got a lot of stuff to prove,” linebacker Bud Dupree said. “There’s a lot of speculation of us not being a good defense, but we know in our heart and soul that we have one of the best defenses.”The Steelers statistically boasted a top-10 defense last season. They ranked No. 5 in yards and two spots back at No. 7 in points, while also establishing a franchise record for sacks in a season. This season has been much different. The defense has allowed an average of 31.5 points and close to 400 yards per contest through two games.“We just want to be established and known as one of the best defenses,” cornerback Joe Haden said. “We haven’t really put that on tape for the first two games. The quicker we can get back out there, the quicker we can show everybody what we can do.”Haden expects to play Monday after missing last week’s game against Kansas City with a hamstring injury. The ninth-year veteran was a full practice participant for the second straight day Friday. Haden will be a welcome addition to a defense that had communication issues, lacked a consistent pass rush and couldn’t get off the field.Defensive coordinator Keith Butler said this week that he simplified the game plan to allow players to play fast, improve communication and eliminate big plays through the secondary. Butler felt his players tried to overcompensate and do too much at times against the Chiefs.“I jumped offsides when we were down because I was trying to time the snap and get to the quarterback Nick Bosa Jersey ,” Dupree said. “Somebody has to make a play and I was trying to put it on my shoulders and make a play, and sometimes that’s trying to do too much.”Tampa Bay (2-0) is off to its best start in eight years and features the NFL’s top-ranked offense. The Bucs are unbeaten thanks in large part to Fitzpatrick, the 35-year-old journeyman who has thrived with suspended quarterback Jameis Winston sidelined. Fitzpatrick is playing the best football of his 14-year career, throwing for 819 yards and eight touchdowns in Tampa Bay’s first two games. The Steelers insist their defense is prepared for the challenge.“We’re just ready to go,” Heyward said. “I’m ready to move forward. I think we cleaned up a lot of problems. We had a lot to address, but it won’t be addressed until Monday. Hopefully, we can put on a good performance.”NOTES: S Morgan Burnett (groin), G David DeCastro (hand), T Marcus Gilbert (hamstring) and DE Stephon Tuitt (illness) did not practice on Friday. G Ramon Foster (knee) and DE Tyson Alualu (shoulder) were full practice participants for the second straight day. When they meet Saturday night in one of several intriguing games in the penultimate week of the NFL season, the Ravens and Chargers will be chasers. By Sunday night, they could be leaders.Baltimore (8-6) trails Pittsburgh (8-5-1) by a half-game in the AFC North. The Chargers (11-3) are tied with Kansas City for the AFC West lead — and the conference’s best record — but the Chiefs hold the tiebreaker. So the winner will be in solid position for the playoffs; LA already is in. Plus L.J. Collier Jersey , the Steelers and Chiefs have very difficult road tests.“They’re playing outstanding football,” Ravens safety Eric Weddle said of his former team. “We’ve got everything in our hands, as do they, so it’s going to be an amazing game, one that will define where our season goes from there.”Baltimore, ranked 12th in the AP Pro32 poll, is a 4½-point underdog at the No. 2 Chargers, who have had an extended rest after a sensational comeback win at Kansas City on Dec. 13.CHARGERS, 27-24KNOCKOUT POOL: Baltimore struggled a bit but then “Lamared” the Bucs. ALAMEDA Johnathan Abram Jersey , Calif. (AP) — Martavis Bryant is back with the Oakland Raiders and focused on getting up to speed again in coach Jon Gruden’s offense with an eye on playing this Sunday in Denver. One day after signing a one-year contract to return to Oakland, the 26-year-old Bryant was in a positive and playful mood while speaking to reporters Thursday. He had been acquired in a trade with Pittsburgh in the spring and then released by Oakland earlier this month.“I was very surprised but at the same time I knew there was a plan,” Bryant said. “I didn’t get overly frustrated. I was with my family the whole time. I honestly didn’t know what was going to happen. I just stayed focused and continued to do the things I needed to do to get back to football.”Talk has circulated for three months that Bryant could be suspended by the NFL for another violation of the league’s substance-abuse policy. Bryant missed all of 2016 while suspended for the same reason. The Raiders have avoided discussing the topic publicly. Bryant said he has heard nothing from the NFL.“I don’t know nothing abut none of that,” Bryant said. “All I’m here to do is play football. As far as that stuff, I’ll let that process take care of itself.”The Raiders are hoping Bryant can help spark Oakland’s passing game, which was shut down in the second half against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night. That was the original plan when they traded a third-round pick to the Steelers to get Bryant before heath issues prevented the veteran receiver from practicing for most of training camp. When Bryant was released as part of final roster cutdowns, Gruden said it was because he had been outplayed by some of the team’s other young receivers. On Wednesday, Gruden said that Bryant was in a good place.“He looks good,” offensive coordinator Greg Olson said. “He stayed in shape. He stayed around town so he’s still involved in the game and working out. He retained a lot of the things that we were doing with him previously, so he looks good.”Bryant agreed.“This is just another thing that I’ve been through in my career,” Bryant said. “I made some mistakes when I was at a younger age and I learned from that. I didn’t get overly down on myself as I beat myself up the first time I got suspended. I’ve been through it before so I know how to stay focused and just fight through it.”Bryant said he avoided watching the Raiders’ 33-13 loss to the Rams, although he remained in the Bay Area after being released by Oakland on Sept. 1.What he missed was the Raiders passing attack going dormant in the second half. Wide receivers Jordy Nelson and Amari Cooper were limited to four catches for 32 yards combined, none after halftime.Bryant is hopeful of joining them in Denver when the Raiders play the Broncos.“I’m going to be ready to go,” Bryant said. “We’ve got a couple more days of practice in. I’m going to go out and put hard work in with the guys. If coach needs me to go in Sunday http://www.raidersauthorizedshops.com/authentic-trayvon-mullen-jersey , I’ll be ready to go.“I’m comfortable now but at the same time with coach Gruden’s offense you have to continue to study every day and continue to be a student of the book. You need tough love to be the best. I have a lot of work to do and he’s going to continue to push me.”Notes: Defensive tackle Justin Ellis was placed on injured reserve with a foot strain. … The Raiders signed defensive tackles Johnathan Hankins and Clinton McDonald.__ ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Micah Hyde laughs at the recollection of just turned 20-year-old linebacker Tremaine Edmunds having difficulty spitting out calls in the defensive huddle during one of the Buffalo Bills first offseason practices in May.“They threw him in the fire and put him in the huddle and, man, he was tongue-tied,” the safety said. “We were all laughing, like, ‘Dude, just slow down, just calm down.'”Hyde raises the memory in making a point about how much Edmunds has matured with his rookie season coming to a close. Buffalo (5-9) has two games left and travels to play New England (9-5) on Sunday.“Now, he’s able to make adjustments just like anybody else,” Hyde said. “He gives us the call right away. He’s yelling to the sideline to get the play in. He’s come a long way.”The biggest indication of how far the second of Buffalo’s two first-round draft picks has come occurred during a weekly players-only defensive strategy meeting two weeks ago. That’s when defensive tackle Kyle Williams relinquished his usual spot at the front of the room and had Edmunds lead the session.“I went to him and said, ‘Hey, listen, I’ve been doing this for a long time Maxx Crosby Jersey , and when I look at you I see somebody who in my opinion is going to be a cornerstone here for a long time,'” said Williams, Buffalo’s longest-tenured active player and most respected leader. “I saw it as an opportunity to help him grow and to continue on the upward tick here the last few weeks of the season.”The significance wasn’t lost on Edmunds.“That meant a lot coming from a guy like that,” Edmunds said of the 13-year veteran. “I feel like if he didn’t trust me, he wouldn’t have done it at the time that he did it. I don’t like to let my teammates down. So I’m going to make sure I’m on top of my game for sure.”Slowly but surely, Edmunds is emerging as the defensive leader the Bills anticipated they were getting in trading up six spots to draft him 16th overall. At 6-foot-5 and 250 pounds, Edmunds has showed off the combination of strength and speed that led him to be a Butkus Award finalist as the nation’s top linebacker following his junior year at Virginia Tech last season.Edmunds leads the Bills with 98 tackles, has a sack and been credited with 10 passes defensed and six quarterback hits, while playing 791 out of 879 defensive snaps this season. He has forced two fumbles and picked off Jets rookie Sam Darnold two weeks ago to become the NFL’s youngest player to intercept a pass. He’s accomplished this despite being six days shy of his 20th birthday when he was drafted, and while having to learn the intricacies and responsibilities that come with playing the middle linebacker spot after spending his three years at college playing the weak-side position.“It’s been a big change,” Edmunds acknowledged. “I’m still trying to take steps forward now. I feel like the sky’s the limit to where I can get to. I feel like I’m nowhere close to being as good as I could be.”There were several times earlier this season when an overeager Edmunds went the wrong way in being fooled by a fake handoff, or failed to fill a hole along the line of scrimmage. The mistakes were not unexpected, and veteran linebacker Lorenzo Alexander advised Edmunds to slow down and allow himself to read what’s happening before reacting.“Sometimes because he is so athletic, they’ll get him out of position. So he’s learned to be more patient Hakeem Butler Jersey ,” Alexander said. “And now, some of the things that people were attacking him on aren’t happening because he’s slowing down, and he has the experience to know how people have been attacking him.”New England coach Bill Belichick noted the improvement he’s seen in Edmunds since the AFC East teams met on Oct. 29.“He’s big, he’s fast, he’s getting better every week,” Belichick said. “He handles a lot of the higher degree of difficulty plays a lot better than what we saw going into the first game.”Bills defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier often has to remind himself of Edmunds’ young age.“So young at what he’s doing, and to see his growth is just incredible,” Frazier said.“With his athletic ability, to be able to take the coaching, process it and go back out and not make the same mistake over and over again, he has the chance to be really good down the line.”

Other guys may get caught up in the wrong crowd, and get arrested for something that may not be their fault. Many NFL players get in trouble with the law so much because they’re an easy target. Many players deserve jail time due to their actions, where some may have been falsely accused. It almost seems normal now to see NFL players been arrested due to how many players we see arrested each year.Just in 2016, there were around 27 players arrested. One player who seems to constantly get in trouble is cornerback Pacman Jones. Since 2000, he’s the player who has been arrested the most with 10 arrests. It seems that the NFL is one of the most troubling sports, as it seems week after week there’s a new arrest. And if there’s not a new arrest, there’s another player suspended. Many players once they get into trouble, never seem to find their way out of trouble. While we have had many players who have been on the news for their arrests, there are also many players who have been arrested who many people have forgotten about or who didn’t know they got arrested.

Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton has had a field day against the Texans this season and over the course of his career Gary Jennings Jr. Jersey , so slowing him down will be important to Houston’s hopes of advancing in the playoffs this Saturday. The more healthy players they have to throw against Hilton the better for their chances of slowing him down and Wednesday’s injury report shows some positive signs on that front.Cornerback Johnathan Joseph moved from a limited participant in practice on Tuesday to full participation on Wednesday. Joseph sat out last Sunday’s win over the Jaguars with a neck injury, so each step is bringing him a bit closer to the lineup for the team’s playoff opener.Defensive end J.J. Watt and wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins remained limited participants on Tuesday, but there’s no sign that’s anything other than managing their workload in order to ensure they are ready to go against the Colts. Defensive back Mike Tyson was the only player not to practice in any capacity and the Texans put him on injured reserve later on Wednesday. When the Eagles identified Carson Wentz as a future franchise quarterback, they did what they had to do to trade up and draft him. But aside from trading up for a franchise quarterback, the Eagles favor trading down. That’s the word from Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie, who says that the Eagles’ top strategy in the draft is to get as many picks as they can http://www.seahawkscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-phil-haynes-jersey , by trading down, trading players for picks or accumulating compensatory draft picks by maintaining discipline in free agency.“We believe in volume,” Lurie said. “We’re not cocky enough to feel that you’re going to draft way better than anybody else, and it’s very important to create volume. This draft we’re going to have good volume, especially in the top of the draft, two [second-round picks] and two [fourth-round picks] to go with our [first-round pick] Ugo Amadi Jersey , and next year we’re going to have quite a few draft choices.”Lurie said that between the picks the Eagles already have in 2019 and the haul of compensatory picks they should get in 2020, a lot of talent will be arriving in Philadelphia. “It’s very important, so when you look ahead over the next 13 months, we’re going to be adding about 20 draft choices,” Lurie said. “You’re going to have some undrafted players make the team, and so you can imagine there’s probably going to be about 20 to 25 players that are going to be about 22 years old http://www.bengalsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-drew-sample-jersey , 23 years old on our roster, and we planned for that. To Howie’s credit in the front office, what they’ve done, I think they’ve always balanced this and sort of analyzed it, should you sign a player who is a potentially good starting player at age say 31 or 30 versus a low-level starting player who’s a lot younger. So, when I talk to Howie http://www.oaklandraidersteamonline.com/trayvon-mullen-jersey , it’s always about what is the next two years going to be in that comparison. Yeah, you get the 25- or 26-year-old in his second contract, but he’s a low-level starter. His team didn’t want him, and maybe he can be a low-level starter for us at best, or you can get a guy who can make an impact, several guys who can make an impact http://www.oaklandraidersteamonline.com/isaiah-johnson-jersey , and we’re banking on them for one to two years. So that’s resource allocation.”Lurie, General Manager Howie Roseman and coach Doug Pederson have a smart, analytical approach to building the Eagles, and it’s easy to envision them remaining in the playoffs for years to come.

For any NFL team Joey Bosa Jersey , getting the most out of the draft is a tricky prospect, even early in the first round. Whether the strategy is to draft for best player available, or to address a specific position of need, no player selection is truly a surefire bet. Despite this, the upper echelon of players selected in the past several drafts has actually been quite good, with little in the way of confirmed busts. While common sense would dictate that a top-five selection in the NFL should yield a good result, this isn't always the case, and we've seen plenty of high-profile picks over the years that never amounted to anything in the pros. This makes the relatively high quality of play that recent top-five picks have to their name, all the more impressive. No matter the position, there's a lot of talent that has gone around in the upper echelon of the draft Tony Pollard Jersey , and many of them are about to enter the prime of their careers in the upcoming 2017 season. With youthful players like these leading the way, it's a good time to be a fan of the NFL, and watch the development of the game's brightest stars.Ranked below are the top five picks selected in each of the past three NFL drafts. GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP)Marcus Mariota’s answers were clipped, many one word. His facial expression changed minimally, a quick raise of the eyebrow or lip before giving an answer after his performance against the Arizona Cardinals. The Tennessee Titans lost a game they should have won and their quarterback shouldered most of the blame. ”Frustration is an understatement,” Mariota said following Tennessee’s 12-7 loss to the Cardinals on Sunday. ”Defense played lights out, special teams did their job, and I’ve been hurting our team. I’ve got to find ways to be better.” The Titans (8-5) entered tied with Jacksonville atop the AFC South after winning six of their previous seven games. All they had to do was beat the struggling Cardinals (6-7) to stay in the division lead, maybe move a game ahead if the Jaguars couldn’t get past Seattle. Tennessee couldn’t get it done. Jacksonville beat the Seahawks to boot. Not a great first trip to University of Phoenix Stadium. ”At the end of the day Noah Fant Jersey , we didn’t play very well,” Titans tight end Delanie Walker said. ”Our defense held them to field goals and if you can’t put points on the board, obviously you can’t win game.” Mariota starred as a redshirt freshman for Oregon at the 2013 Fiesta Bowl his last trip to Glendale, leading the Ducks to a 35-17 victory over Kansas State. He was mostly ineffective against Arizona’s defense, struggling with his aim and not nearly as mobile after tweaking his knee in the first quarter. Tennessee’s run game, which moved up to seventh in the NFL last week, was almost nonexistent, contributing 65 yards on 22 carries after a season-high 198 yards last week. The Titans finished with 204 total yards to fall a game back in the division. ”Defense played out of their mind the whole game,” Titans coach Mike Mularkey said. ”We had a chance to win the game because of our defense. Special teams wasn’t good enough, and neither was our offense.” After a punt-filled first quarter Dalton Risner Jersey , the Titans put together a nine-play, 50-yard scoring drive, capped by Derrick Henry’s 6-yard TD run . Tennessee’s offense then went back to sputtering. The Titans took a gamble in the third quarter, attempting a fake punt that appeared to work. Upon review, the officials changed the spot, leaving Tennessee short of a first down. Arizona took over at the Titans’ 35-yard line, setting up Phil Dawson’s second field goal, from 23 yards to cut Tennessee’s lead to 7-6. ”We should have got it and I thought we got it,” Mularkey said. ”I don’t know how it got overturned. With all those bodies, I don’t know how they saw it. I question that immensely Drew Lock Jersey , that overturn.” The Titans moved into Arizona’s end of the field on its second drive of the third quarter, but a miscommunication with receiver Rishard Matthews turned into an interception by Tramon Williams. Mariota’s second interception, with Tennessee trailing 9-7, was his fault. Trying to squeeze a pass into Walker, he didn’t see Josh Bynes drop back into underneath coverage. Bynes snared the ball and returned it 25 yards to Tennessee’s 15, setting up Dawson’s fourth field goal, a 35-yarder that put Arizona up 12-7. ”That’s on me. I didn’t see him under there,” said Mariota, who threw for 159 yards on 16 of 31 passing. The Titans got the ball back twice in the final 3:45, but were forced to punt once http://www.cardinalscheapstore.com/zach-allen-jersey-cheap , and turned it over on downs. Defensively, the Titans were effective pressuring Blaine Gabbert, sacking him eight times, even with outside linebacker Derrick Morgan injured. Tennessee was good in the red zone, holding the Cardinals to four field goals and a miss on another. It wasn’t good enough, thanks to the Titans’ wobbling offense. Now the Titans will remain in the desert to figure out what went wrong, practicing this week at Arizona State University to prepare for Sunday’s game against San Francisco. —

Today is the final day prospects can meet with NFL teams at team facilities Will Harris Jersey , so Quinnen Williams is squeezing in his final visit. The Alabama defensive tackle, one of the top prospects in the draft, is meeting with the Giants today in East Rutherford, New Jersey http://www.lionsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-austin-bryant-jersey , after meeting with the Jets on Tuesday. His itinerary included trips to the Raiders, Bills, Jaguars, Buccaneers Rashan Gary Jersey , Cardinals and 49ers. If you’re keeping track at home, that covers the top six choices in the draft. The Bills select ninth. The Giants, who have the sixth and 17th selections, might have to trade up if they want Williams.Peter Schrager of NFL Media reports had an NFL executive tell him that Williams’ 15-minute interview at the Scouting Combine in February was “as good as any 15-minute session he’d seen or been a part of from a defensive lineman.” Williams broke down the opposing offense on film like a middle linebacker http://www.packersauthorizedshops.com/authentic-darnell-savage-jr.-jersey , “owning the room like a QB.”Indeed, Williams appears to check all the boxes, which is why he won’t wait long on draft day to hear his name. Veteran tight end Dwayne Allen has hopped from team to team over the last few days as he looks for a place to play in 2019 and his fourth visit of the week wrapped up on Friday. The Dolphins announced that Allen’s visit with the team came to an end on Friday afternoon. Allen spent time with the Browns, Bills and Lions before heading to South Florida. There are some familiar faces on the Miami coaching staff as head coach Brian Flores Elgton Jenkins Jersey , offensive coordinator Chad O’Shea and assistant quarterbacks coach Jerry Schuplinski were all with the Patriots before joining the Dolphins. Allen spent the last two seasons with the Patriots before being released earlier this week.Any Ravens interest might have dried up when they re-signed Nick Boyle to a three-year deal and there’s been no word of other visits, so Allen may have a spot with one of the other three teams soon.

ATLANTA (AP) — The Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots are bringing two of the top scoring offenses in the NFL to the Super Bowl. The reason they’ve both played so well has a lot to do with the big guys playing up front.Los Angeles had the same offensive line starters for all 16 games and both playoff contests. Their consistency has been key to everything Rams coach Sean McVay does with a team that averaged 32.9 points per game Noah Fant Jersey , ranked second in the league.A line that has nobody who has ever played in a Super Bowl is being rewarded.“Having that consistency is big in everything we do,” left tackle Andrew Whitworth said. “We know each other very well at this point, and that’s something that you can rely on when you’re in a tight game, when you need to execute at an important time in the game.”The line has been just as dependable for the Patriots.Tom Brady has not been sacked in either of New England’s two playoff wins, with defenses getting only three quarterback hits while chasing an offense that is part of a team averaging 27.3 points per game, ranked fourth in the NFL.It hasn’t gone unnoticed by the Patriots’ 41-year-old quarterback. In the days after their AFC championship game victory over Kansas City, Brady posted a picture on Instagram of his spotless jersey. He tagged each of his offensive linemen in the post, writing, “Not even 1 grass stain!”The last time Brady wasn’t sacked through two playoff games was the 2003 season, when he wasn’t sacked at all during the Patriots’ three wins Dalton Risner Jersey , including their Super Bowl victory over Carolina.“I think they’ve performed incredible all year really,” Brady said. “We really haven’t had many sacks this year and I think they’ve done such a great job protecting, and the run game, I think that speaks for itself. That was just an incredible effort last week and we’re going to need it again because this group is obviously exceptional at (the defensive line).“The D-line is certainly a great strength of theirs. We’ll be challenged. All those guys will be challenged.”The 37-year-old Whitworth is the cornerstone of the Rams’ offensive turnaround, providing brilliant blocking and steady leadership ever since he left Cincinnati to join McVay on the West Coast two years ago. He has started every game except one in the past two seasons — and so have left guard Rodger Saffold, center John Sullivan and right tackle Rob Havenstein. The Rams’ continuity on the line is remarkable in the modern NFL. Their only change from 2017 to 2018 was made at right guard, where Austin Blythe replaced the suspended Jamon Brown for the first two games of this season and played so well he never relinquished the spot. The Rams’ offensive line is a reliable barometer for the success of their powerful offense. When the linemen are playing well, as they did through the first 10 weeks of the season, quarterback Jared Goff operates smoothly behind his protection and Todd Gurley finds gaping holes in their opponents’ defensive fronts. When the line struggles, as it appeared to do at Detroit and Chicago in December Drew Lock Jersey , the offense stalls. Goff was pressured 51 times in a four-game stretch late in the regular season after getting pressured just 78 times in the first 10 games, directly leading to the Rams’ losses to the Bears and the Philadelphia Eagles.“Everybody knows how much I love those guys,” Gurley said. “They’re responsible for everything. We’ve got the best line in the game, in my opinion, and they show it on the field every week.”New England lost two starters on its offensive line in the offseason when tackles Nate Solder and Cam Fleming left in free agency. But with Marcus Cannon and Trent Brown taking their spots, joining center David Andrews and guards Shaq Mason and Joe Thuney, Brady was sacked 21 times during the regular season, compared with 35 times last season.New England knows it will take a similar effort against a Rams’ defensive line that also features All-Pro Aaron Donald, Dante Fowler and Ndamukong Suh.Andrews said one of the things they are so good at is changing up things, with Suh sometimes playing nose guard Jamel Dean Jersey , and lining up on the edge other times.“Obviously they’re both dynamic players,” Andrews said. “Aaron Donald is the best defensive football player in the league, there’s no doubt about that. So it’s going to be a big challenge. We’re going to have to do a lot of things well.” Browns top receiver Jarvis Landry is questionable to play in Thursday night’s game against the New York Jets because of a knee issue.Landry, who has 12 catches for 175 yards in his first two games for Cleveland, has been limited during workouts this week and the team listed him as questionable on Wednesday’s injury report.Landry said he was confident he would play when he spoke to reporters on Tuesday.Linebacker Christian Kirksey is doubtful as he continues to recover from an ankle and shoulder problem. Kirksey sat out Sunday’s loss in New Orleans, and with a short week, it’s possible the Browns (0-1-1) will rest him again.Starting defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah will sit out his second consecutive game with a left ankle injury sustained Week 1 against Pittsburgh, and tight end Seth DeValve with a hamstring injury. Also, starting safety Damarious Randall is questionable with a heel injury.___

Kerry Hyder has been limited to seven games over the last two seasons because of injuries Kyler Murray Jersey , but memories of his eight sacks in 2016 as a rotational player on the Lions defensive line led the Cowboys to bring him to town this offseason. If Hyder is able to return to that 2016 form, a return to the spot he played that season may have something to do with it. The Lions used Hyder as a defensive tackle last season, but the Cowboys have been playing him at defensive end and that was his primary spot during his big year in Detroit. It’s a move that gets a thumbs up from Hyder.“That’s home for me. It’s more natural for me — playing defensive end,” Hyder said, via the team’s website. “I get to use my athletic ability and get on the edge and rush the passer. That’s what I’m looking forward to doing, more than just being right on the nose.”The Cowboys traded for Robert Quinn and drafted Joe Jackson in the fifth round to go with DeMarcus Lawrence at defensive end, but Randy Gregory‘s suspension and the failure of Taco Charlton to emerge could leave an opening for Hyder to make an impact up front in Dallas. COSTA MESA, Calif. (AP) — The Los Angeles Chargers haven’t needed to rely too much on their run game during their first two games http://www.arizonacardinalsteamonline.com/byron-murphy-jersey , but that might change on Sunday against the unbeaten Rams. The Chargers (1-1) have called runs on 37.5 percent of their plays the first two weeks, which is the fifth-lowest percentage in the AFC. Despite that, they are averaging 116 yards, which is above the league average of 104 yards. In other words, Melvin Gordon and Austin Ekeler aren’t getting a lot of carries, but they are making the most of their plays.“They’ve been very effective,” offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt said. “It’s been a tremendous help for us because it opens up other things like play action.”Gordon has only 24 carries, which is his lowest total for the first two games in his four-year career Andy Isabella Jersey , but he is tied for the team lead in receptions with 15. Gordon had the second three-touchdown game of his career in last week’s 31-20 win at Buffalo, with two TDs coming on catches. He’s also gained over 100 yards from scrimmage in six of his last eight games dating to last season. While the quarterback matchup between the Chargers’ Philip Rivers and the Rams’ Jared Goff is attracting plenty of attention, the running back battle between Gordon and Todd Gurley is tantalizing as well. Both were drafted in the first round in 2015, with Gurley having the advantage so far. He led the league in yards from scrimmage last season with 2,093 while Gordon was fifth (1,581).“We compete. It’s not like we hate each other. We both want to prove we are the best back and it happens that we compete in the same city,” Gordon said.Ekeler had a career-high 77 yards on 11 carries in last week’s win at Buffalo. Three of his longest carries came on runs off the left side.Whisenhunt continues to find different ways to use the second-year back. In the opener against Kansas City, Ekeler caught a 13-yard touchdown while last week he was getting most of the carries.“They are starting to use both of us in different ways and it has been working Clelin Ferrell Jersey ,” Ekeler said. “It’s going to be important again this week because they have a real solid front five. If we can get the run game going early that can help us in play action.”The Chargers have a lot of experience facing a Wade Phillips defense. They faced Phillips twice a year when he was with Denver in 2015-16.The Rams have one of the best interior pass rushes in the league with Ndamukong Suh and Aaron Donald at the tackles. They also have gone 12 straight games without allowing a 100-yard rusher. One of the best matchups could be center Mike Pouncey going up against Suh. The two went up against each other often during practices in Miami the past three seasons.“That’s going to make things a lot easier for me and a lot of other guys,” Gordon said of Pouncey. “You have a bully like that up front that ain’t scared to back down, that gets them other guys going.”Pouncey, who is in his first season in Los Angeles after seven seasons in Miami, said getting the run game going early is going to be vitally important this week.“Any time you can run the ball it keeps us on schedule,” he said. “We have been over 100 yards in each game, which is something to build off of.”
