CINCINNATI (AP) — With the exception of a fourth-round quarterback Womens Boomer Esiason Jersey , the Bengals‘ first draft under coach Zac Taylor was more about upgrading their infrastructure. And there was a distinct emphasis on Taylor’s favorite side of the ball. The Bengals got two offensive linemen, a run-blocking tight end, a defensive tackle and a linebacker among their first six picks in the draft, with quarterback Ryan Finley filling out their top selections. Taylor came to the Bengals as the Rams’ quarterback coach, and they leaned heavily toward improving the run game in his first draft.Cincinnati finished 26th on offense last season and 21st in yards rushing. Joe Mixon led the AFC in rushing with 1,168 yards, but the running game was inconsistent overall. The Bengals took a pair of running backs in the sixth round to fill out the group.“That’s the starting point for us,” Taylor said. “We’re going to put a very strong focus on the run game and it all plays off that. If you can’t get your run game going, the rest of the offense struggles.”For their most intriguing pick, the Bengals moved up and took Finley early in the fourth round Saturday, then immediately emphasized that Andy Dalton is still the starter.Still, it was a noteworthy move. The Bengals hadn’t taken a quarterback so high in the draft since they choose Dalton in the second round in 2011.Finley will be a backup for now, at least. Dalton has two years left on his contract and has fully recovered from a thumb injury that sidelined him the last five games last season.“I do want to make something very clear before we start: Andy Dalton is our starting quarterback,” offensive coordinator Brian Callahan said. “That has not changed. That will not change. We think very highly of Andy and what he’s going to do in our offense.“We do think competition is good. It’ll be good for our position. It’ll be good for the backup job for sure.”Some highlights of Cincinnati’s draft:WHO THEY GOTLT Jonah Williams (first round, Alabama), TE Drew Sample (second round, Washington), LB Germaine Pratt (third round, N.C. State), QB Ryan Finley (fourth round, N.C. State), DT Renell Wren (fourth round, Arizona State), C Michael Jordan (fourth round, Ohio State), RB Trayveon Williams (sixth round, Texas A&M), LB Deshaun Davis (sixth round, Auburn), RB Rodney Anderson (sixth round Ryan Glasgow Jersey White , Oklahoma), CB Jordan Brown (seventh round, South Dakota State).SURPRISE MOVEMoving down 10 spots in the second round and taking Sample — a tight end known as a tenacious blocker — with so many needs on a defense that gave up the most yards and third-most points in the league last season. Taylor said the Bengals highly valued Sample’s blocking ability and thought he’d be gone if they waited to draft him later. The Bengals already had tight ends Tyler Eifert and C.J. Uzomah.“Drew fits what we do,” Taylor said. “When he’s there and you really like him, you’ve got to go get him.”HOW THEY DIDThe offensive line has been a longstanding problem, and they improved it with the addition of Williams and Jordan, who can play guard. Linebacker was their biggest problem area on a historically bad defense last season, and Cincinnati released Vontaze Burfict in the offseason. The Bengals are depending upon Pratt to play a big role right away.WHAT’S NEXTTaylor’s staff has to figure out how to configure the offensive line with the new additions. Williams played left tackle at Alabama, so they could consider moving left tackle Cordy Glenn to another spot. They also have to get Pratt ready. The versatile linebacker could play either inside or outside, and first-year coordinator Lou Anarumo needs to decide where he’ll be most comfortable at the outset. MINNEAPOLIS — Mike Zimmer was about ready to be done with his quest to become an NFL head coach, discouraged after so many fruitless interviews.More Vikings coveragePhotos of the Week: 7/21/19 – 7/27/19Rookie Bradbury is central figure to Vikings’ overhauled offensive lineVikings depth at cornerback being tested, Hughes still not clearedPlayers to watch at Minnesota Vikings 2019 training campTop Tweets: Vikings WR Diggs makes push for All-NFL Style TeamThough he didn’t want to lose his esteemed defensive coordinator, Marvin Lewis encouraged Zimmer to stick with it.Finally, Zimmer was hired in Minnesota in 2014. Lewis remains in charge in Cincinnati, with the second-longest tenure in the league at 15 seasons. If the double-digit-favored Vikings (10-3) beat the Bengals (5-8) on Sunday, they’ll clinch their second NFC North title in three years. Lewis has an expiring contract, bound for a second straight absence from the postseason, and an 0-7 career record in the playoffs. Now it’s Zimmer who’s doing the encouraging.“He’s a heck of a coach. He does unbelievable things in the community. I learned a lot from him. I’m happy for him,” Zimmer said. “In my opinion he should be able to stay there as long as he wants.”Lewis expressed his appreciation this week for the support from his former lieutenant. He reflected on the advice he gave Zimmer almost four years ago, before the Vikings came after him.“They obviously made a great decision,” Lewis said, “and those that haven’t wish they had.”The Bengals still run the same type of gap-control, press-coverage defense with unpredictable blitzes by linebackers, cornerbacks and safeties to supplement a strong front four. The holdovers from 2013 and earlier have been reflecting on the, uh, colorful language, savvy strategy and astute teaching that Zimmer was responsible for over six seasons with Cincinnati.“He got the job done,” safety George Iloka said. “You respected it because he was consistent in how he coached the five-time Pro Bowler to the rookies.”Defensive coordinator Paul Guenther, the linebackers coach when Zimmer departed, is still close to his former mentor and attended his daughter’s wedding this summer.“Everything I’ve learned under him I’ve carried over Womens Jeff Driskel Jersey ,” Guenther said. “It will be a special game, obviously.”Here are some other key angles to follow for the game:WILL THEY SHOW UP? The Bengals were suffering from an emotional hangover from their 23-20 loss on Dec. 4 to bitter rival Pittsburgh when they were drubbed 33-7 at Paul Brown Stadium by a Chicago team that’s just 4-9 this year . Players acknowledged they emerged without much energy and described their worst home loss since 2008 as embarrassing and shocking. The question now is if they can muster some positive emotion to compete with a likely playoff-bound foe.“Especially being on the road, you’ve got to bring your own energy,” quarterback Andy Dalton said. “For us, it’s the expectation. We can’t have another game like we had last week. So I think there shouldn’t be any problem with that.”HOLDING THE LINE: The Vikings finished their game at Carolina last week with only one starting offensive lineman, right guard Joe Berger, in his usual place because of injuries. With right tackle Mike Remmers missing for a fifth straight contest, Rashod Hill again took his spot until a sprained ankle forced left tackle Riley Reiff out in the third quarter and Hill to switch sides, with four-position backup Jeremiah Sirles taking over the right side. The 6-foot-6, 303-pound Hill, plucked off Jacksonville’s practice squad midway through last season, has been a good find for a Vikings team that badly needed depth at both tackle spots after the injury-ravaged mess in 2016. This week, with Reiff’s status iffy, Hill has been preparing to play on the left side.“The right has their own set of plays and the left has their own set of plays, so it will be a lot easier for me this week,” Hill said.ON THE DEFENSIVE: The Bengals were without six defensive starters against the Bears because of injuries, including cornerbacks Dre Kirkpatrick and Adam Jones, linebacker Vontaze Burfict, and standout defensive tackle Geno Atkins. That contributed to the end of their club-record streak of 22 consecutive games holding opponents under 30 points. They’re still hurting this week heading to Minnesota, a place where the Bengals have never been victorious in five previous visits. Burfict and Kirkpatrick were among five defensive players held out of practice Wednesday.“Do I expect the learning curve to go up? Hopefully,” Guenther said. “I’m not used to giving up 30 points. There are no excuses about who’s in the game.”NO HARD FEELINGS: When the Bengals and Vikings held joint practices during the 2016 preseason prior to an exhibition game between the two teams, Jones and Kirkpatrick were jawing in one-on-one drills against the Minnesota receivers. They condescendingly balked when they saw Adam Thielen line up , nudging the backups forward to cover him instead. Thielen, who broke out last season and has risen even higher in 2017 with 80 catches and 1,161 yards to rank third in the NFL in both categories, might not get the opportunity Sunday to prove Jones and Kirkpatrick wrong given their health.“That was a long time ago, and I don’t think they meant anything by anything,” Thielen said. “Obviously you want to play their best corners, so I’d love for those guys to play.”CINCINNATI (5-8) at MINNESOTA (10-3)Sunday, 1 p.m. ET http://www.thebengalslockerroom.com/authentic-alex-redmond-jersey , CBSOPENING LINE — Vikings by 10RECORD VS. Charles Harris Michael Deiter Miami Dolphins Jerseys , penalty flags shine in Dolphins training camp scrimmage 2018 The Miami Dolphins completed their annual training camp scrimmage on Saturday, their first time on the field at Hard Rock Stadium for the year. The day featured two story lines, one with a player appearing to breakout when given a chance and one a continuing theme from throughout training camp, and over the past few years.Defensive end Charles Harris saw extra playing time on Saturday, while veterans Cameron Wake and Robert Quinn were limited on the day. Harris took advantage of the situation while lining up both outside at defensive end and inside at defensive tackle. He twice beat the pass protection, once getting past left tackle Laremy Tunsil and once passing tight end Mike Gesicki, to sack quarterback Ryan Tannehill. The second sack, beating Gesicki, would likely have resulted in a crushing blindside hit if the play had been live contact on Tannehill.“A year ago, Charles Harris was kind of stretched out, kind of in a dark place; but like I said, I just love being out here Miami Dolphins Jerseys 2019 , love competing, love having the logo on me and everything like that,” Harris said of the differences between his rookie season and now coming into his second year. “I love my teammates and everything like that. I love my teammates. That’s really all we’ve got here, too. I love playing for my brothers. I feel like we really are getting closer and closer together and that’s a shout out to the coaches – (Defensive Line) Coach (Kris) Kocurek – and everybody else that forces us to be together. It’s all love now.”Head coach Adam Gase, after the scrimmage, discussed Harris’ play this summer, saying, “He’s a tough matchup, especially on pass downs. The thing that he’s improved on, especially from last year to this year and then through training camp, is his transition to a pass rush when it’s first and second down. That’s really kind of where rookies across the league will struggle always. You’ll see that their pass disruption numbers aren’t as good on first and second down because they’re always thinking run and then they have to transition to the pass rush. I think he’s really improved in that area and then you can see he causes disruption, especially if he gets a matchup where it’s a tight end/tackle trying to work with him. It’s really tough if he wins off the ball.”Harris played about 48 percent of the Dolphins’ defensive snaps last year Michael Deiter Jersey Cheap , playing behind Cameron Wake and Andre Branch. He recorded 19 tackles with two sacks in 16 games played, including two starts. Last year seemed more about giving Harris, the Dolphins’ first-round pick in 2017, experience at the NFL level rather than expecting him to be a dominating pass rusher from the start. This year, the Dolphins are expecting more from him, and Wake appears to believe that improvement is already here. “I actually think Charles Harris has probably had the best offseason, not just any d-lineman but probably anybody on our team,” Wake said earlier in the week. “He came back in tremendous shape. He’s obviously been working on his strength. He’s been working on his football and it’s showing up on tape. I think that’s definitely going to pay off when it becomes time to put these live bullets in and get after these quarterbacks. He’s made great strides and obviously the more the merrier, I’m happy for it.”Harris was asked on Saturday about Wake’s praise, with the second-year defensive end responding, “That’s big praise from big bro. It’s kind of one of those things that go in one ear and out the other. You’ve got to show up every day. Every single day you wake up, every time you see that sun Michael Deiter Jersey Womens , it’s a new opportunity to get better at your craft, to be productive, to really be productive. I’m just called to be productive and that’s what I have to do every single day. All the work I put in, it doesn’t matter. It’s about what I’m doing in the present. The present is the most important. The time is now.”While Harris is showing his improvement from last year, the Dolphins as a whole have yet to figure out how to bring down the penalties. The Dolphins’ scrimmage this year only lasted 36 plays. There were at least six penalties in that span, with five of them coming pre-snap. Some of that could be the team working out some timing issues, especially as quarterback Ryan Tannehill and center David Kilgore get used to playing together - though Gase downplayed that as an explanation after the scrimmage - but the flags in practice are coming at an unacceptable rate, and everyone knows it.“The only thing I noticed was the pre-snap penalties,” Gase said. “We’ve just got to get that cleaned up. The delay of game, I’ve got to figure out what really happened there. I don’t know if we were a little slow, either me calling it or relaying it in, or whatever happened there. We didn’t change personnel. That was odd. We’ve got to do a better job. I know it’s second group going against the ones and they’re trying to get a little bit of a jump. Sam (Young) going against Robert Quinn Michael Deiter white jersey , that’s always a fun matchup for him. We’ve got to do a better job of not losing 5 yards on a no play.”The Dolphins coaches have been having players run gassers after making a pre-snap penalty. After another day with flags flying way too often, Gase answered a question about the effectiveness of the gassers, simply asking, “Did it look like it was working?”He continued, explaining, “I don’t know [what else we need to do]. We’re just going to have to fix it. We just have to focus and understand the cadence is for us on offense to help us, not to hurt us. We’ve just got to hang in there and we’ve just got to do a better job being consistent with it.”Maybe the Dolphins are purposely calling penalties tighter than they would be called in the regular season. Maybe the team really is struggling with penalties. The Dolphins were the second-most penalized team last year, and had the second-most pre-snap penalties. They were also the second-most penalized team in 2016, though they fell to sixth in the pre-snap penalty count. And it is not just a Gase-era issue either, as the team was fourth in penalties in 2015, while leading the league in pre-snap penalties in 2015. The Dolphins need to get back to playing like they did in 2014, when they were penalized the third-fewest times in the league Michael Deiter Miami Dolphins Jerseys , though even then, the pre-snap penalties were bad, jumping them to 15th in the league with nearly half their accepted penalties coming before the snap that year. The Dolphins have to fix the penalty issue, something that has continued the plague them into this summer and was especially noticeable during the scrimmage. A couple of highly regarded draft prospects from the state of Florida will be spending time with the Dolphins ahead of next week’s draft.Agent Drew Rosenhaus said on WSVN, via the , that former Florida tackle Jawaan Taylor and former Michigan linebacker Devin Bush will both visit with the team. Teams are permitted to host players at their facilities through Wednesday. The Dolphins did not re-sign right tackle Ja'Wuan James and Taylor could fit into their plans to replace him in the starting lineup this season. The former Gator also met with the Dolphins during the Scouting Combine in Indianapolis earlier this year.Bush has been a busy man over the last few weeks as plenty of teams are interested in what he could bring to their defense in 2019 and beyond. The Dolphins don’t have the same clear hole at linebacker that they do at right tackle, but the rebuilding process in Miami will call for talented players across the board if it is going to be successful.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Even after everything the Los Angeles Rams have accomplished this season Dakota Allen Los Angeles Rams Jerseys , they still knew they probably needed to beat rival San Francisco in the finale for a first-round playoff bye.Although their high-powered offense did its part as usual, a four-takeaway effort by the defense was even more exciting while the Rams secured a well-deserved week off.Brandin Cooks and Josh Reynolds caught two touchdown passes apiece from Jared Goff, and the Rams wrapped up a six-game sweep of their NFC West opponents with a 48-32 victory over the 49ers on Sunday.Cory Littleton returned one of his two interceptions for a TD as the Rams (13-3) completed their winningest regular season since 2001 by making sure they get a few days off before they attempt to earn their first playoff victory since the 2004 season.“We’ll enjoy all of that tonight, and understand how big of an accomplishment that is,” said Goff, who passed for 199 yards. “You feel great @ 13-3. We’re coming off two great wins, and we get to finish the season 6-0 (against the division). Only team in the league that did that.”The Rams needed the win over the Niners or a loss by Chicago to clinch the No. 2 seed in the NFC postseason. Los Angeles didn’t count on the Bears, who ended up beating Minnesota. The Rams played nearly every starter except Todd Gurley and jumping to a 14-0 lead in the first five minutes before stretching it to 28-3 midway through the second quarter.C.J. Anderson rushed for 132 yards and a touchdown in his second 100-yard game in place of Gurley, who sat out again to rest his knees. The Rams hadn’t swept San Francisco since 2004, but coach Sean McVay dropped 87 points on his friend Kyle Shanahan’s club in two meetings this season.“We’re going into (the bye week) with a lot of confidence after this,” Reynolds said. “The rest is going to help us out, and we’ll be at our best when the playoffs start.”Nick Mullens passed for 282 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions for the 49ers (4-12), who wrapped up their fifth consecutive non-winning season. San Francisco went winless on the road for the first time since 1979, Bill Walsh’s first season in charge.George Kittle set the NFL’s single-season record for yards receiving by a tight end with 1 Dakota Allen Jersey Baby ,377 when he caught a 43-yard touchdown pass from Mullens with 2:20 left. Alfred Morris rushed for 111 yards and a score. While the Rams’ defense put together a series of big plays to cap a strong month of work, San Francisco’s defense set an NFL record with just seven takeaways all season after failing to force a turnover by Goff and his teammates.“That was the disappointing thing about the game,” Shanahan said. “Not just Nick. It was about everybody. Starting that game off with four turnovers, same way we did the last time versus them, it doesn’t give yourself much of a chance to play.”The Rams clinched the division four weeks ago, but missed the chance to secure a week off when they lost at Chicago two weeks later. The Bears pushed LA until the final week, but the Rams took control quickly at the Coliseum. On the game’s fourth snap, Aqib Talib returned a fumble inside the Niners 10. After Cooks caught a TD pass, Littleton returned his first interception 22 yards and Anderson punched it in.Littleton, the Rams’ do-it-all linebacker and Pro Bowl special-teamer, took his second pick 19 yards to the house early in the second quarter for what he claimed was the first defensive touchdown of his football life.KITTLE’S MARKKittle got the record with nine catches for 149 yards, including five for 95 yards in the fourth quarter. He surpassed both Rob Gronkowski’s 2011 record of 1,327 yards and the new mark set earlier Sunday by Kansas City’s Travis Kelce, who finished this season with 1 Dakota Allen Jersey nfl draft ,336.“I was like, ‘Well, I’ll let (Kelce) have it for a little bit, and then I’m going to take it,'” Kittle said. The Niners were determined to get the record, targeting Kittle 14 times — including six times in the fourth quarter of a blowout. Shanahan said he wanted this record after Kittle had 210 yards receiving in the first half against Denver earlier this month, but failed to top Shannon Sharpe’s single-game record of 214 yards for a tight end because he didn’t catch a pass in the second half.“My position coach and some other guys were giving me little updates,” Kittle said. “Definitely going into the last drive, ‘Hey, you need 9 yards, so make it 15.’ I said, ‘Hey, I’ll take it to the end zone, I guess.'”DONALD’S DOMINANCEAaron Donald had one sack to finish with 20½ for the season. The Rams’ peerless defensive tackle fell short of Michael Strahan’s single-season sacks record of 22½ Infant Dakota Allen Jersey , but Donald still set an NFL record with 183.5 total sack yards when he dropped Mullens for an 8-yard loss in the first half.INJURIES49ers: LG Laken Tomlinson left the field on a cart in the second quarter with an apparent right knee injury.Rams: LT Andrew Whitworth injured his knee in the second quarter. He didn’t return, but rookie Joseph Noteboom appeared to play well in his absence. McVay is cautiously optimistic Whitworth’s injury is no more than a bruise. … The Rams rested Gurley and safety Lamarcus Joyner. Blake Countess started in Joyner’s place, but left early with a concussion. What did we learn? This will not be a cakewalk folks, none of it! Predictably, the Los Angeles Rams are facing Belichick-inspired defenses on a weekly basis this season, and it does not appear that Sean McVay is stumped any longer. The Rams seem to have adequate responses to the looks that once confounded them, however the margin for error is low right now because of an inexperienced offensive line and the evident wane of Todd Gurley’s explosiveness. Ultimately the Rams pulled one out in a hostile environment despite losing the turnover battle 3-1, and covered the spread while they were at it. The defense may be picking up the slack left by an overall drop off in offensive production this season, but still, it would have been satisfying if the Rams could have taken advantage of an injury-ravaged Browns secondary. To their credit, 269 yards through the air is fine, especially with Gurley only gaining 3.1 per carry, but ultimately they scored only 20 points. They could have very well broken 30 if not for a Goff fumble and two interceptions, so let’s see if they can turn in cleaner efforts as they near the second quarter of the NFL season. Offensive lineSo far this season Discount Dakota Allen Jersey , the Rams offensive line has been a work in progress, inconsistent with pinch of Demby. They certainly haven’t been a top 5 level unit as they were the past two seasons, but they are currently ranked 7th in rushing yards, and are middle of the pack when it comes to quarterback hits and sacks. There’s been some heat around Jared Goff at times, but there have also been series when Goff was afforded plenty of time to let plays develop. Bottom line though, the unit gelling is the single most important thing that can happen for the Rams this season. Todd Gurley probably isn’t a Top 10 back anymore, and Jared Goff is going to have his moments, but the offense still can move the ball with the best teams in the league if they’re winning up front, we think. It’s been a while since the offense has actually been electric. They mauled the Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals on the ground last season, and gutted one out in New Orleans, but it would be nice if they could tap into offensive nirvana again this week against the struggling Tampa Bay Buccaneers. How good is Kupp? Also, at the expense of sounding crazy, I’ll just pose the question-is Cooper Kupp the Rams best offensive player at this point? After watching him direct the offense from the slot and continuously create space for himself on big downs, he really seems like the heartbeat of the offense so far this season. If that were true though Dakota Allen Jersey nfl draft , it would only be by a hair, because Brandin Cooks and Robert Woods continue to shine and put themselves in the right places to keep the ball moving. The three of them seem capable of keeping the Rams offense dangerous no matter what’s going on in the trenches or with the backfield. DefenseAlso on the good news side of things, the defense is actually taking things seriously this season. They are currently ranked 3rd in yardage allowed, 3rd in opposing passer rating, and are 7th in points allowed. Who knows if the team will be able to keep Dante Fowler, John Johnson, and Cory Littleton long term, but all three have really played well. Fowler’s speed has been evident, and his early season PFF grade of 81.2. For what it’s worth Cory Littleton has a PFF grade of 80.2, and John Johnson III has a grade of 70.8. Oh, and Aaron Donald continues to do things that would make Clubber Lang wince. The defense’s emergence may be what keeps the Rams atop the NFC while the offense looks to regain the electricity.

KANSAS CITY Tyreek Hill Jersey , Mo. — Sammy Watkins was supposed to be a game-changing star when the Buffalo Bills drafted him fourth overall in 2014, the kind of speedy wide receiver who could make plays all over the field. It never worked out that way.Watkins had a 1,000-yard season and was reasonably productive, but he never quite hit the stardom that was expected of him. And along the way, he gained a reputation for being demanding, difficult and at times downright sulky as the number of passes that went his way dropped.“I was young and kind of ego-tripping,” Watkins said, quite matter-of-factly, after helping the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Denver Broncos 30-23 on Sunday to complete a season sweep. The 25-year-old Watkins played a big part in the win. He caught eight passes for 107 yards and two scores and drew some of the attention from the rest of the Chiefs’ stars, who all seemed to produce at crucial times as Kansas City continued its dominance of the AFC West.So what changed between Watkins in Buffalo and Watkins in Kansas City? What has enabled a guy with blazing speed, strong hands and physical size to finally become a breakout star?Maturity, mostly.“I kind of went to the Rams last year and I was in the same situation with a lot of other weapons. I learned a lot,” Watkins said. “It’s not about me or any one guy on this team.”The Chiefs’ decision to sign Watkins in free agency raised some eyebrows, not only because they had pressing needs elsewhere, but because their offense was already quite potent. They had a star-in-the-making in Tyreek Hill, the reigning NFL rushing champion in Kareem Hunt and one of the best tight ends in the game in Travis Kelce, so adding Watkins seemed superfluous. But they wound up signing him to a three-year, $48 million deal anyway, then listened as all the pundits criticized the move throughout the summer and right into training camp.Nobody is criticizing it much these days.“His approach has been unbelievable,” Chiefs coach Andy Reid said. “He just comes out, works hard. He’s not concerned with how many catches he has or any of that. For a big-time receiver http://www.chiefslockerroom.com/authentic-demetrius-harris-jersey , that’s unique. He knows there’s only one ball and we have a bunch of pretty good players, and when you have an opportunity, be a part of that. He’s done that. He’s done a nice job of that.”Watkins was relatively quiet in an opening win over the Chargers, but he had six catches for 100 yards the following week at Pittsburgh. He had his first TD catch in a win over the 49ers at Arrowhead Stadium, then had his best game to date against the Broncos on Sunday. One was a crafty buttonhook route, where Watkins found a soft spot in the middle of the Denver defense and ran untouched 10 yards for the score. The other was a 13-yard touchdown reception. The fact that both came in the red zone is hardly a surprise. That’s where Watkins is dangerous.“It feels great,” he said, “not just to score two times, but to get the win. To do it at a high level and just go out there and play my style of game, running around, having fun, throwing some good blocks and have everybody catch a lot of balls.”Sounds like a team-first player, rather than the me-first guy Watkins used to be.“It’s always good to see Sammy go off,” Kelce said. “He brings such a confidence in everything he does. You’re happy for the guy because of the type of person he is and how hard he works during the week. It’s awesome to see him have a day like he had.”NOTES: Reid said Monday he hadn’t heard the comments made by the Broncos claiming that the Chiefs stretch the rules offensively by getting their offensive linemen too far downfield on their run-pass option plays. “I always ask officials beforehand if there is anything I need to tell my guys, and that’s never been an issue,” Reid said. … Reid did not have any injury updates Monday, though he did say LB Frank Zombo (hamstring) was probably the most serious of them. He’ll spend Saturday evening at Kansas City’s Bar K.CDT“Forever,” he said when asked how long he intends to play. “I love this game, man. Honestly Womens Armani Watts Jersey , I can’t put a number on it. Unfortunately, this game has an end for everyone, and I know that. I’m trying to take care of my body as much as I can, which is kind of why I got the surgery after the season this past year, so that I can play as long as I can. I have a blast every time I come into the facility with these new coaches, players. “There’s more electricity in the building than I’ve felt since I’ve been here in Kansas City, and the expectations are high and you know what? It’s kind of like I started playing football all over again. I love Kansas City, so I hope I’m here for the entire career that I have in the NFL, and hopefully I can stay healthy so I can play as long as I can and hopefully, that’s many, many years to come.”For the past three seasons—2016 to 2018—Kelce has compiled more than 1,000 receiving yards each year and scored a total of 22 touchdowns. But at this stage of his career, Kelce has said that stats are the last thing on his mind.Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports“[I want to] be accountable for every guy on the team,” Kelce said when asked about his 2019 goals. “I know that’s kind of cliché, but I’ve gotten to the point where you know what? Stats are going to take care of themselves. There’s no reason to put a number on anything. All and all, when you go out there and want to win a football game, you just have to be accountable on every single play for the guys around you, the coaches that have put you in those positions to succeed, and that’s where I am in my career. The stats and everything are going to take care of themselves. “I know Andy (Reid) is going to dial me up, and I’m going to get a couple opportunities a game to make a play and it’s my job to go out there and make them, whether I’m running the ball Dorian O'Daniel Jersey , I’m blocking, I’m catching, I’m throwing, whatever they want me to do. That’s where I got to hold myself accountable.”Being in the building, Kelce says that it is easy to see the defensive additions—especially Frank Clark and Tyrann Mathieu—have “without a doubt” made a difference. But there is one important ingredient still to come.Mark Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports“The craziest part is we’re still missing — and it’s out of respect — we’re still missing the most loud human being I’ve ever met in my life in Chris Jones, so I could only imagine how this thing’s really going to get when Chris gets back into the building. I’m excited for it. I know the entire team feels the energy and we feed off of it, and sure enough, this minicamp, this training camp, this OTAs, that stands true. We’ve just been competing our tails off trying to get better, and guys have been getting better.”So is 2019 Super Bowl or bust for the Kansas City Chiefs? “Yes,” he quickly said. “To be honest, that’s how I’ve felt every single year. If you don’t achieve that, then you’re selling yourself short. No more than what we did last year. What we did last year is cool and all—bringing that much excitement to Kansas City for the first time in a long time, I think that’s fun and that’s awesome, but I think we fell short of our goal.“And that’s created a lot of motivation this offseason not only for myself but for this team and we got an edge coming the first week of September.”<hr class="p-entry-hr" id="oNWk8j">Kelce is partnering with Seresto and Bar K Dog Bar this weekend for the grand opening of the Seresto stage on Saturday. Kelce will judge a touchdown dance competition at Bar K from 6 to 6:30 p.m. Arrowhead Time. Bar K is located at 501 Berkley Plaza, Kansas City, MO 64120.

Defensive line coach Brendan Daly also jumped ship to take over a similar role with the Kansas City Chiefs. In the meantime, Greg Schiano came and went as the unit’s new coordinator. As part of this transformation, the Patriots looked outside the organization for reinforcements — and they found some in an old friend: Jerod Mayo, who was a key member of the team’s defense from 2008 until his sudden retirement in early 2016. Mayo, whose brother Deron is working for the Patriots as assistant strength and conditioning coach, will serve as New England’s inside linebackers coach moving forward. While the news of Mayo’s addition to the staff came as a surprise in late March, the 33-year-old always knew he would return to football eventually. “I always had the itch to get back into it, get back around the guys,” Mayo said during a media availability session ahead of the Patriots’ rookie minicamp. “It’s been going well [but] I wouldn’t say it’s something I always thought about: I always thought about playing football as a child, and now I have a whistle.”In a sense, Mayo is a rookie again himself considering that he did not take the usual way up the coaching ladder and start as a low-level assistant before getting promoted. Instead, he got a prominent role right away — as was the case after the team drafted him in the first round eleven years ago. And his vast experience of playing in the Patriots’ defense and calling the shots as the on-field communicator certainly helped him get his new gig.It is also something that should help him get comfortable in this role Youth John Hannah Jerseys , despite some differences. “The lingo is different, at the same time the scheme is still pretty much the same,” Mayo said before acknowledging that the transition is still a big one. “It’s a huge jump. Middle linebacker — you have to know where everyone is. Now it’s like on the administrative side, also on the offensive side, what they’re doing. It’s a huge jump.”“It’s difficult but at the same time it’s an exciting challenge,” continued Mayo, who also pointed out that he is not the only one who needs to learn something new: the players and fellow coaches also need to be able to pick up the concepts and schemes the team keeps working on on a regular basis. “This is a game plan defense, they change each and every week, so everyone’s in the same boat as far as learning the defense.”For Mayo, however, this process of learning should not pose too big of a challenge: he did play 111 games for the Patriots, after all, and maybe even more importantly brings the right mindset to the table. “I love football, love studying football John Hannah Jerseys Stitched , love being around the conversations. [...] I’m always motivated. I feel good where I am. My family, they were very supportive of the decision to come back.”The role Mayo’s family played in his coming back to the game in a rather active role — he pointed out that he did not expect the hours to be this long — cannot be understated. “That was the main thing: my kids, they’re good with it. My wife’s good with it. That was pretty much it for me,” said Mayo, also mentioning another selling point. “Anytime you get an opportunity to learn from the greatest head coach of all time, you’ve got to kind of jump on that opportunity.”Jump on it he did — and now, Mayo will play a role in shaping the Patriots’ fortunes once again. With this week’s trip to Minnesota the Raiders begin a span of seven weeks in which they will not play a home game in Oakland. The road trip includes stops in London Bo Jackson Jersey , Green Bay, Indianapolis, and Houston. Not only will the Raiders be tested physically on the field but they will be tested mentally with all the miles of travel.Things will certainly be more enjoyable if they could rack up a couple of wins.It won’t be easy this week against the Vikings who have talent all over the place on both sides of the ball and a big time home field advantage playing in US Bank Stadium.Running back, Dalvin Cook leads the league in rushing and the defense has a dominant pass rush lead by Danielle Hunter. Now let’s see what players and coaches from both teams are saying ahead of their week three matchup.Head coach Jon Gruden, on what makes facing the Vikings defense a challenge.“You know, you just watch the Atlanta game and wow it’s 28-0 at the end of the third quarter.Green Bay got a couple scores early. They didn’t make much happen in the second half. They have veteran players and they have high-profile players at every level. It starts with the pass rush. They knock the run out with Linval Joseph and Kendricks, their middle linebacker, and then they give those pass rushers a lot of at bats and they can rip it man.I mean Everson Griffin is back. And Danielle Hunter is one of the best unknown defensive ends in the league, I don’t know why he doesn’t get more credit credibility.(Xavier) Rhodes can shut you down, (Trae) Waynes is a first rounder, and Harrison Smith is a multi-Pro Bowler. They’ve got good players and Zimmer has a scheme they all understand, so they’re tough.Defensive Tackle Johnathan Hankins, on the Raiders run defense and stopping Dalvin Cook.“Just you know the technique we been preaching https://www.raiderslockerroom.com/authentic-antonio-brown-jersey , just getting up the field, penetration, stopping the ball. That’s just what Buck and them came talked to us about in the offseason. That’s what we’re trying to apply on the field. So hopefully we can continue to stop the run and then get after the quarterback.”“The guy has been averaging 180 yards rushing, that’s going to be a test to us, to go out there and stop that.If we can do that, I feel like we can win this game.”Vikings Head coach Mike Zimmer, on the similarities between what Paul Guenther runs in Oakland versus what was created in Cincinnati.“It’s very similar.I think Paul will always have his spin on things, that’s kind of how he’s always been, but I think they’ll be much, much improved. They’ve got much better talent all the way across the board.I think Burfict really helps them get guys lined up and he understands their system so well, but they’ve got good players upfront. They’re much, much improved on the backend in my opinion as well, so yea I think they will continue to get better.”Vikings wideout Adam Thielen Womens Derek Carr Jersey , on Vontaze Burfict.“I mean he’s someone who you can tell he’s extremely smart, he gets the entire defense lined up, he makes all the checks and things like that. He’s always in the right spot, he’s a fast guy that’s always around the ball and he plays with a lot of effort. He’s one of the better guys at that position and he’s a guy that’s gonna get them in the right spots and make sure they’re not out of position.” Follow @Egroat5 ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) — Oakland Raiders coach Jon Gruden will be a TV star once again.HBO announced Tuesday that the Raiders will be featured on the network’s “Hard Knocks” show in training camp this summer that gives a behind-the-scenes look at an NFL team.Gruden spent nine seasons as the lead analyst on ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” before returning to the sideline for a second stint as Raiders coach last year. Now he will likely be a star of the 14th edition of this reality show.“Everybody wants to be a Raider,” owner Mark Davis said. “Now they’ll find out what it takes to become one.”The Raiders made several high-profile additions this offseason that made them an attractive team for the show in their final scheduled season in Oakland before a planned move to Las Vegas. They hired another former TV analyst as general manager in Mike Mayock, traded for big-play receiver Antonio Brown and signed controversial free agents Vontaze Burfict and Richie Incognito. Oakland also had three first-round draft picks in Clelin Ferrell, Josh Jacobs and Johnathan Abram, as well as quarterback Derek Carr.Gruden had expressed reservations about being on the show but the Raiders were one of five teams who could be forced to do the show because they didn’t make the playoffs the past two seasons, didn’t have a new coach and hadn’t done the show the past 10 years.NFL Films will send a 30-person crew to training camp in Napa to shoot more than 1,750 hours of footage for the series with access to meeting rooms, training rooms, living quarters and practice fields.“They do a really good job of staying out of your way Womens Antonio Brown Jersey ,” said defensive coordinator Paul Guenther, who was on the staff in Cincinnati when the Bengals were featured on the show.“You can see, kind of, what’s going to be on the show. I think the positive thing is you find out a lot about your team and the coaches on the staff that, ‘Hey, when the camera is on you are you going to be a different guy or a different player or if you’re not.’ Because really after the third day, you don’t notice, you’re so used to having them around that you just go about your business.”The other teams that were eligible were San Francisco, Washington, Detroit and the New York Giants. The first of five episodes will air Aug. 6.

Detroit Lions Roster2018 Detroit Lions roster review: Can Jalen Reeves-Maybin recapture a defensive role?New,19commentsJalen Reeves-Maybin’s play took a step back after his rookie year and he’s left fighting for a role in 2019.EDTShare this storyShare this on FacebookShare this on TwitterShareAll sharing optionsShareAll sharing options for:2018 Detroit Lions roster review: Can Jalen Reeves-Maybin recapture a defensive role?TwitterFacebookRedditPocketFlipboardEmailPhoto by Joe Robbins/Getty ImagesAfter the Detroit Lions drafted both Jarrad Davis and Jalen Reeves-Maybin in 2017, the team thought they were building a strong linebacking corps that could learn and play together, growing into their respective roles and leading the team’s defense. Two years later, the entire defense is turned on its head. A different scheme can hit the linebackers hard, and the Lions switched to a scheme that didn’t favor either of their recent draftees’ respective talents. Despite some promising play from both in their rookie campaigns Will Harris Jersey Mens , their sophomore series saw the two heading in opposite directions.Jalen Reeves-MaybinExpectations before 2018Jarrad Davis, the team’s first-round pick that year, had the higher highs and lower lows than fourth rounder Jalen Reeves-Maybin in 2017. Yet after their rookie year, many fans had higher expectations for the later pick than the former since he was consistently good whenever he saw the field. The issue, primarily, was that he saw the field sparingly. Reeves-Maybin was only a role player on the defense in his rookie season, often seeing the field in coverage when the team needed someone who could roll with tight ends or rushers.Coming into 2018, the scheme change looked like it might hit JRM the hardest. He was far smaller than the other linebackers, and the scheme required the linebackers to be able to close gaps and hit hard. Durability concerns from college had bled into his rookie season, and if he was to have a shot at thriving in a new role, he’d have to first hold up to the rigors of increased responsibilities.Actual role in 20182018 stats: 9 games (0 starts): 8 solo tackles, 13 totalPFF grade: 58.3 (not enough snaps to qualify for rankings)Reeves-Maybin saw his role plummet in his second season. New head coach Matt Patricia and defensive coordinator Paul Pasqualoni made no secret that they liked their linebackers larger and lengthier. With Devon Kennard taking on the pass rushing role at linebacker Youth Will Harris Jersey , Jarrad Davis shoring up the middle, and newly signed Christian Jones hogging most of the snaps, there wasn’t much room for a guy like Reeves-Maybin. Though he struggled to find a role through the first half of the season, it wasn’t completely without promise. He wasn’t playing as well as he had as a rookie, but he still flashed the speed and rangy potential that made him a mid-round prospect in the first place. A neck injury suffered midseason would ultimately end his campaign and he finished the year on IR in early December.Outlook for 2019Contract status: Signed through 2020 seasonThe Lions retained their three starting linebackers from 2018, meaning Jalen Reeves-Maybin would have quite the climb to claim a starting role outright. Complicating matters is the Lions selection of Jahlani Tavai in the second round. While he’s not at the point he should start worrying about his roster spot being taken by a UDFA or anything like that, the likelihood of being off the Lions roster in 2019 is no longer 0 percent. The change in scheme coupled with an inability to stay healthy have really hurt the chances of Jalen Reeves-Maybin having a large role on the Detroit Lions in 2019. Barring multiple injuries, he’s likely only seeing the field on special teams (a role he was expected to thrive in as a pro anyway) and in a limited role on defense. Both of these roles actually suit the Lions perfectly at the moment as they have defined roles for those ahead of him on the depth chart, and we all know how much the staff value special teams. Beyond 2019? If Reeves-Maybin can ball out on special teams like he has proven himself capable of, he could at the very least carve himself a niche that will be very difficult to pry him away from.

The Bengals had to wait until after the Super Bowl to hire a head coach. They’re still waiting to get a defensive coordinator.According to NFL Media John Miller Jersey White , the Bengals wanted to interview new Ohio State defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley for the position. Hafley, however, declined. As explained by Mike Garafolo of NFL Media Geno Atkins Jersey , Hafley decided that “he’s not going to renege on his commitment to OSU after taking the job last month.” Intended or not, that’s a backhanded slap at Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury, who did just that at USC Womens Andy Dalton Jersey , leaving the program after a month. The fact that multiple college defensive coordinators have opted to stay put in lieu of making the jump to the NFL isn’t an ideal look for the Bengals. Regardless of how it looks, it will be hard for new coach Zac Taylor, an offensive specialist Womens A.J. If not, any available defensive coaches may want to hang around town that week http://www.thebengalslockerroom.com/authentic-jessie-bates-iii-jersey , just in case. Bengals running back Joe Mixon called on his teammates to give a better effort this Sunday than they managed against the Browns last weekend and wide receiver A.J. Green said earlier this week that he’d be back in action聽on Sunday and the Bengals confirmed it on Friday by leaving Green off their final injury report of the week. That’s a plus for quarterback Jeff Driskel, who will be making his first NFL start when the Bengals host the Broncos in a meeting of 5-6 teams on Sunday afternoon. That takes care of Green’s short-term future and he also discussed longer range plans as 2019 is the final year of his current contract. He said he doesn’t want to be anywhere else Giovani Bernard Jersey White , but a few more losses will leave the Bengals out of the playoffs again and changes could be coming for a team that hasn’t been to the postseason since 2015.

Tight end Delanie Walker was carted off the field later in the period with a right leg injury, and tackle Taylor Lewan suffered a concussion, all of which meant a miserable start for Mike Vrabel in his head coaching debut.Walker’s injury appeared the most serious.“I haven’t seen him since he left the field Jerome Baker Jersey ,” Vrabel said. “Our thoughts and prayers are with him.”Miami led 7-3 when the game was suspended for nearly two hours late in the first half. The teams went to the locker room during the delay and stayed on the field for halftime, which was shortened to 3½ minutes.Lightning forced a halt again midway through the third quarter, and the second stoppage lasted just over two hours. Perhaps 10,000 fans remained at the finish.“That’s the job we have — to make sure we play through whatever situation,” Vrabel said. “I felt we handled it well, but in the end we didn’t do enough to win the game.”Sandwiched between the delays was a brawl that started after Lewan appeared to be briefly knocked out . Jordan Phillips and Bobby McCain of Miami and Dion Lewis of Tennessee received offsetting unsportsmanlike conduct penalties for taunting, and Lewan missed the rest of the game.Gabbert drove the Titans 75 yards to make the score 10-10, but Grant needed only 13 seconds to break the tie Andrew Van Ginkel Miami Dolphins Jerseys , splitting the coverage untouched and racing into the clear near midfield.“I saw it was just him and the kicker,” Miami coach Adam Gase said. “I was going, ‘Please run by me.'”Tannehill, playing for the first time since a knee injury in late 2016, went 20 for 28 for 230 yards with two scores and two interceptions.“I left a lot out there,” Tannehill said. “There are a lot of plays I wanted to have back.”INJURY REPORTTitans: Mariota was hurt early in the third quarter when hit on the right side by William Hayes. Both teams are going to be fully healthy and ready to go on Super Bowl 53"Just in case you were worried about either of the two teams that are slated to play in Super Bowl 53 Tyler Higbee Jersey , don’t be. Despite an incredibly long season that is just now shortly coming to the end for the Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots, both teams will be fully healthy and ready to go with their Friday injury reports coming in clean:A lot has been made of K Greg Zuerlein’s foot, and fairly so, but the kicker will be ready to go with no drawbacks come Sunday night. Zuerlein actually injured the foot during the NFC Championship game and obviously went on to hit the two biggest kicks in his career after sustaining it, so the injury shouldn’t be looked at as something that should hamper him now.The Patriots also have two key defenders return fully to practice with Dont’a Hightower — a hybrid inside linebacker/edge player — and run-stuffing defensive tackle Malcolm Brown returning.Game on Jared Goff Jersey , gents. Only one quarterback from Super Bowl LIII made the cut on Farrar’s list, and it wasn’t Jared Goff." 2019 Los Angeles Rams OffseasonLos Angeles Rams QB Jared Goff misses the cut on Doug Farrar’s Top 11 Quarterbacks listNew,49commentsOnly one quarterback from Super Bowl LIII made the cut on Farrar’s list, and it wasn’t Jared Goff. CDTShare this storyShare this on FacebookShare this on TwitterShareAll sharing optionsShareAll sharing options for:Los Angeles Rams QB Jared Goff misses the cut on Doug Farrar’s Top 11 Quarterbacks listTwitterFacebookRedditPocketFlipboardEmailPhoto by Michael Zagaris/Getty ImagesDoug Farrar, who is a great football writer to follow Samson Ebukam Jersey , published his list for the Top 11 quarterbacks in the NFL. Let’s get the most important observation out in the open: Los Angeles Rams QB Jared Goff is not on it. I’m equal parts surprised and not surprised. I’m surprised not to see Goff on a list of “best quarterbacks” because I’m so used to seeing him on everyone’s lists this off-season. His past two seasons under Sean McVay have been great, and his progression seems to be on a linear incline. But I’m not surprised he’s not on Farrar’s list because Farrar is smart. We all love Goff, our human version of a golden retriever. But none of us can say with a straight face that Goff is among the best in the league in those three areas. It’s arguable, at best, to say that he’s among the best in the league in two of those areas. It’s normal to have a knee-jerk reaction when seeing who made the list over Goff Josh Reynolds Jersey , like Cleveland QB Baker Mayfield and Philadelphia QB Carson Wentz. It’s also normal to make the “SCOREBOARD” argument here because only one quarterback on Farrar’s list made the Super Bowl this year (Tom Brady). But it’s hard to ignore Goff’s utter collapse in the Big Game. Goff completed 19 of 38 passes for 229 yards for no touchdowns and one interception, which came at the worst possible time in the fourth quarter. He also missed a wide-open Brandin Cooks in the third quarter, which would have given the Rams a four-point lead. Not exactly a “top quarterback” performance. Farrar’s list does an excellent breakdown of everyone’s body of work this past season and offers a compelling argument for every guy listed. It doesn’t delve into why certain golden-haired beauties were left of the list, though.

The NFL’s teams apparently learned something from last week’s misadventures in Washington.Per a source with knowledge of the situation Stitched Darwin Thompson Jersey , Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt cleared waivers on Monday. It means that no team (not even Washington) claimed the balance of his rookie contract. Hunt now becomes a free agent. On Tuesday, Washington claimed former 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster on waivers after the team that made him a first-round pick in 2017 released Foster following his second domestic violence arrest of the year. Washington was loudly criticized for the move, and the organization then found a way to make it worse by clumsily defending the decision. The Chiefs waived Hunt, a third-round pick in 2017 and the league’s rushing champion as a rookie, after video emerged on Friday of him shoving and kicking a woman in the hallway of a Cleveland hotel back in February. He previously had been placed on paid leave by the league. The NFL will continue to investigate two different incidents involving Hunt, and eventually he’ll likely receive an unpaid suspension. In the interim, he can sign with any team, but if no team were willing to claim his contract now, it’s likely that no one will sign him until, at the earliest, the extent of his unpaid suspension is known. It’s unlikely that Hunt will become a full-blown pariah, like Ray Rice did after video surfaced of a violent knockout of his then-fiancee. He’s young, he’s talented, he can help a team win Darwin Thompson Kansas City Chiefs Jerseys , and someone will eventually give him a second chance. For now, he’ll hopefully focus on getting his life straightened out, addressing whatever anger-management issues that have affected him in the past, and preparing for a future that will entail far more years out of football than in football. KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Chiefs had the Cardinals‘ Josh Rosen seeing red last week. As in a whole lot of red jerseys right in his face. The Chiefs sacked Arizona’s rookie quarterback five times in their 26-14 victory. They hit him 13 times, forced a fumble and generally made life miserable on a cold afternoon at Arrowhead Stadium. No wonder Rosen was asked, quite sympathetically, how he felt after the game.Probably like he went through a trash compactor. But that performance by the Chiefs’ much-maligned defense was closer to the norm than anything special this season. They already have 31 sacks to match their total from all last season, even though their highest-paid player and top pass rusher, Justin Houston, has missed four games to injury. That puts the Chiefs in a tie with Pittsburgh, Minnesota and Green Bay for the NFL lead.“Defenses right now are stretched in the National Football League. You’ve seen it every week,” Chiefs coach Andy Reid said. “To be able to get the pressure that we did on the quarterback (against the Cardinals) was a huge part of it. Stepping up with big plays when needed.”The Chiefs struggled last season to pressure the quarterback, and there was little reason to think that would change this season. They brought back most of the same cast Kansas City Chiefs Jerseys Stitched , though Tamba Hali stepped into retirement after an unproductive year and rookie Breeland Speaks took his spot, and defensive coordinator Bob Sutton was retained after coming under intense scrutiny. But the Chiefs did make a couple of other important changes to the coaching staff, replacing their longtime linebackers coach Gary Gibbs with Mark DeLeone and Mike Smith. DeLeone handles the inside guys and Smith handles the outside linebackers, and by splitting up the duties, both are able to give more one-on-one time to their players’ skill-specific needs. The progress is easiest to see in Dee Ford, the Chiefs’ former first-round pick who had battled injuries and inconsistency his first four seasons. The Chiefs picked up his fifth-year option — that was no guarantee — and he has flourished when it comes to getting after the quarterback. He has nine sacks to trail only the Rams‘ Aaron Donald — who will be on the field against Kansas City on Monday night — and the Vikings‘ Danielle Hunter. His total is also tied with J.J. Watt, Myles Garrett and Von Miller, leaving the always-upbeat Ford in some pretty select company.“I don’t think anyone in this league can block him coming off that edge one-on-one,” said Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt, who has tried several times with little success in practice.Ford isn’t just getting sacks, though. He has also hit the quarterback an astounding 20 times and has four strip-sacks to give the Chiefs the ball in some crucial situations.“Every week, that’s really what we preach. When you pressure the quarterback, mistakes happen, turnovers happen Discount Darwin Thompson Jersey ,” Ford said. “This is just our way of playing defense.”The Chiefs’ Chris Jones has seven sacks, including one in six straight games, and fellow defensive tackle Allen Bailey has a career-best five. Houston has only three sacks because of injuries, but he was back to near-100 percent against the Cardinals, picking off Rosen at the line of scrimmage.“Just hitting the quarterback, affecting him in any type of way,” Jones said. “Helping the back-end guys out — we affect the quarterback with tips, overthrows. They could be incomplete passes or interceptions. We kind of complement each other.”Indeed, the Chiefs’ aggressive pass rush has been doubly important after their secondary had to go through some growing pains. Kansas City traded away top cornerback Marcus Peters, star safety Eric Berry has been out all season with a heel injury, and fellow safety Daniel Sorensen only recently returned to the field after breaking his leg in training camp.In other words, it has been a mishmash of next-man-up lineups in the defensive backfield, putting even more pressure on the guys up front to help them out.“We say every week that we’ve got to be willing to win the game however it presents itself, whether it’s on offense Super Bowl Darwin Thompson Jersey , defense or special teams,” Ford said. “Defense actually met this week and that’s one thing we spoke on: Let’s take it to another level. We can’t really rely, especially late in the season, off of a lot of points from our offense.“They’re tremendous,” Ford added by way of clarification, “but we can be tremendous also, and the same goes for special teams. Once we play like that as a unit, this team can be really great.”NOTES: SS Eric Berry (heel) and C Mitch Morse (concussion) did not practice Thursday. … Reid said the change in venue for Monday night’s game from Mexico City didn’t change his preparations. “Other than going to a hotel in Los Angeles,” he said. “That’s about it.”100<button class="view-gallery">View Gallery</button> Gallery:View from the sidelines: NFL cheerleaders 2018Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports | Raj Mehta

ATLANTA (AP) — Tom Brady quickly made it clear that winning a record sixth Super Bowl title won’t change his mind about playing at least another year.As long as No. 12 is still going White LaAdrian Waddle Jerseys , New England’s dynasty won’t crumble.“Doesn’t change anything,” Brady said moments after the Patriots beat the Los Angeles Rams 13-3 on Sunday . “I can’t wait to spend some time with my family, my kids and my wife. Couldn’t do it without their support. It’s been a great year.”The Patriots have long defied odds and continue rewriting history by sustaining their success for two decades. Brady and coach Bill Belichick are 6-3 in Super Bowls since 2001. They have won 10 straight AFC East titles and reached eight conference titles games in a row. They’ve posted a winning record in 18 consecutive seasons, reaching the playoffs 16 times, winning 16 division titles and nine AFC championships. It’s an unprecedented run, and they’re not done yet.The Patriots were counted out in 2014 after a 41-14 loss to Kansas City on Monday Night Football dropped their record to 2-2. All they’ve done since is win three of the last five Super Bowls. Each time it appears they may be slipping, the Patriots come back strong and find a way to overcome any turmoil.Belichick and Brady were supposedly at odds last year and their relationship was reportedly nearing a breaking point. One of the first people to embrace Brady after the game was Belichick, wrapping his arms around his quarterback and Super Bowl MVP Julian Edelman amid a sea of confetti and a swarm of cameras.“Coach makes it a challenging football environment, the pressure is always on, and for moments like this LaAdrian Waddle Jerseys 2019 , you have to rise to the occasion,” Brady said.Brady hasn’t wavered from his stated desire to play until he’s 45. He was ordinary much of the game against the Rams but delivered in the clutch in the fourth quarter . Overall, he had an excellent season at age 41 and was spectacular in the conference title win at Kansas City.Brady shows little sign of slowing down thanks to his rigorous training schedule and nutrition program. And thanks to a great team Belichick re-assembles around him each season, Brady doesn’t have to win every game with his arm.The Patriots reinvented themselves this season, adding a downhill running game that gave the offense more balance. Rookie Sony Michel ran for 931 yards and six touchdowns in the regular season, and 336 yards and six more TDs in the playoffs. He can be even better next season.“I’m so proud of him,” Patriots center David Andrews said of his fellow Georgia Bulldog Michel. “He faced a lot of adversity at the beginning with an injury, and he battled through people calling him a bust. And I knew when he got a shot, he’d cut it loose. We started finding our identity throughout the year.”Then the defense dominated in the biggest game, holding the league’s second-highest scoring offense to only a field goal.“I don’t think we care about what people had to say White David Andrews Jerseys ,” cornerback Jason McCourty said. “We just knew what we were capable of, and we still had a chance to win the Super Bowl. It doesn’t matter how many people doubted us.”It’s possible the Patriots may lose one of their key players if four-time All-Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski decides to retire. Gronkowski, who had a 29-yard catch to set up Michel’s TD run, isn’t certain of his future.“I haven’t thought about that,” he said. “That’ll be decided in a few weeks or so.”The Patriots can stock up on talent in the upcoming draft. They have 12 picks, including six in the first three rounds. And they have a history of making key free agent signings and trading for veterans who play key roles.“We have a lot of great people in the organization,” Belichick said. “It starts at the top with (owner) Robert (Kraft) and his family. He’s given us great support in all the things we need to do to be competitive.” Don Banks, a journalist who covered the NFL for many years, died early this morning in Canton, Ohio David Andrews Jerseys 2019 , after covering the Pro Football Hall of Fame enshrinement ceremony. He was 57.Banks had just begun working for the and published his first piece in today’s paper. The story, an inside look at how last season’s affected the Browns, was a well-reported, well-written article, as Banks’ work so often was.“Words can’t express the depth of sadness the staff feels for Don’s family and friends,” Executive Editor Glenn Cook said Sunday. “Beyond a sportswriting institution, Don was a dedicated husband and father and a class act. No NFL journalist commanded more respect. The sport has lost one of its finest storytellers.”Banks covered the Hall of Fame Game on Thursday and the induction of new Hall of Famers on Saturday night and appeared healthy and excited about beginning his new job at the , according to colleagues. This morning he was found unresponsive in his hotel room in Canton. Paramedics arrived and found that he had died in his sleep.A well-liked and respected reporter, Banks worked at several outlets in his long career but is best known for his 17 years at .He is survived by his wife and two adult sons.

The city of Oakland has filed a federal antitrust lawsuit trying to recover damages for the Raiders’ upcoming move to Las Vegas. The suit filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against the Raiders Martavis Bryant Jersey , the NFL and the other 31 clubs seeks lost revenue, money Oakland taxpayers invested in the Raiders and other costs. The suit does not ask the court to prevent the Raiders’ move to Las Vegas but asks for damages that will help pay off the approximately $80 million in debt remaining from renovations on the Coliseum. The city says the defendants violated federal antitrust laws and the league violated its own relocation policies when the teams voted in March 2017 to approve the Raiders’ decision to move to Las Vegas. The Raiders do not have a lease for a home next year and team owner Mark Davis has said he will not play in Oakland if a lawsuit were ever filed. The release stated that by approving the team’s move to Las Vegas, the league was “boycotting Oakland in the marketplace for hosting a football club” and “violated federal antitrust laws while the Raiders’ move also violated the NFL’s own policies for team relocation.”The NFL and the Raiders didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.Jon Gruden says he ‘had nothing to do with’ negotiations with Khalil Mack but Raiders not ‘anywhere close’ to what Bears offered A day after the Raiders made the decision to ship off the best defensive player they’ve drafted in two decades, Jon Gruden was set to take to the podium to explain why. There were a few reasons given for trading Khalil Mack. Mostly it had to do with what the Raiders were willing to pay Mack wasn’t enough. But the Bears also made it interesting with their offer in trade.“The negotiation was what it was. It was tough. It was a long process,” said Gruden. “We talked about it daily, we made an offer, I don’t think we were anywhere close to where the Bears were and the Bears made us an offer of what we thought was really unique. Very, very tough to say goodbye to a great player, but here we are today.”The Bears gave Mack a 6-year extension that pays him an averaged of $23.5 million per season. Early reports this offseason had Mack’s people asking for $22 million, but clearly that changed when Aaron Donald got his $22.5 million deal. The main parts of the deal were two first round picks to Oakland for Mack and a second round pick. Why there was a second round pick in there along with Mack is anyone’s guess. But despite having just said “We talked about it daily Derrick Johnson Jersey , we made an offer” and coming in on a 10-year $100 million contract to have his hands on everything to do with this squad swears he said had nothing to do with the negotiations or the details of the trade.“I’m not gonna get into the negotiation,” said Gruden. “Reggie and Tom Delaney and the people that were negotiating were involved in that. I know there’s maybe some feelings that I was involved on a day-to-day negotiation, I had nothing to do with it. We were at a standoff. Something had to happen and here we are.”There were options instead of making this trade right now. They could have waited to see if Mack reported and force him to play out his contract or at least wait a while to get that deal. From there, there was the franchise tag which they had at their disposal to be used twice. That would ensure Mack were still with the team for the next three years at least. But Gruden says he didn’t see that scenario playing out well.“We have waited. We waited and waited and the Rams game was looming,” said Gruden. “Our feeling was he was not going to report anytime soon and like I said, I saw the Redskins go through it with Kirk Cousins, this long process. You can wait it out, you can franchise him, you can force him to play, but we made a decision and we’re going to stand by it.”Gruden also said his thought process was that had he waited until next offseason to make this deal Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie Jersey , the Raiders wouldn’t have gotten two first round picks. Which, technically, they didn’t even get that free and clear considering they had to include a second round pick as well.As for why the Raiders didn’t give Mack an extension, he deferred to the salary cap and unforeseen future spending and “a salary of that magnitude”, adding that it’s hard to pay Derek Carr his contract as well as what Khalil Mack wanted. “I don’t know how many teams have done that,” Gruden said of paying top dollar money for two players. “Aaron Donald got signed, they don’t have a quarterback that has been redone yet. The Bears made this trade, Trubisky’s still on his rookie deal. It’s tough when you have two players that are the highest paid or close to the highest paid at their positions. So, the economic part of it certainly weighs in. We’ve got free agents on our team that are gonna be [up] next year. We gotta find a way to bring them back. So you got to field a 53-man roster and there are some implications of having two players making that much money. That’s not mystery to anybody.”For what it’s worth, the 49ers were also said to be interested in trading for Mack and they just paid Jimmy Garroppolo big money this offseason. What that big money would be is another story. Carr’s only actual $25 million season is this year. He’s also not the highest paid QB in the league Marshawn Lynch Jersey , he’s the 6th highest paid, and his cap amount next year — when Mack’s extension would kick in — drops to $22.5 million and continues to drop in subsequent years. The Bears didn’t add anything to Mack’s $13.8 million cap hit this year in how they structured his deal, but had the Raiders done that (They had over $8 million to play with) they could lower his cap number in future seasons as well putting the combined number between Mack and Carr around $40 million per season, which isn’t unreasonable. But, that’s neither here nor there now. The Raiders were unwilling to pay whatever it would have costed to keep Mack and preferred future draft picks instead. Now the Raiders must go into this season without their best defensive player and nothing to show for it until next year. And even then, we won’t see the fruits of that trade for a couple years. Despite promises they would do their damndest to win in Oakland before they split for Vegas in 2020.“It’s tough,” Gruden said of fielding the best possible team right away. “It wasn’t my goal to trade Khalil when we got here. One of the reasons I’m here is because of him.”That was one of the reasons Raiders fans wanted Gruden here as well. To hopefully take a cornerstone piece like Mack and bring this team to the next level. Now that celebrated 2014 draft upon which this team is built has lost a major piece of its foundation. And it could take a while to rebuild it.Follow @LeviDamien

Few players in the NFL have embraced — or been celebrated for — their workouts quite like Texans defensive end J.J. Watt. But now that he’s turned 30 Womens Brandon Dunn Jersey , Watt said he’s learned that there’s a time for rest as well.Piggybacking on a discussion sparked by an eye-opening ESPN article about increasing injuries in youth basketball, Watt took to Twitter this morning to point out his views have changed.“Took me a long time to learn this, but it’s absolutely true,” Watt wrote. “There is definitely a place/need for the “grind” mentality Jordan Akins Jersey White , but just as important is learning the balance between pushing it to a breaking point and allowing for proper recovery. MUCH easier said than done.“One issue that must be navigated carefully is using the rest/recovery as a crutch or excuse. There’s a difference between having a proper plan with built-in recovery and just waking up one morning and taking a “rest day” because you don’t feel like working.”While a lap around Twitter and Instagram would suggest that players are doing nothing but lifting/running/box-jumping/flipping tires all offseason, Watt’s point is valid. The NFL has wrapped itself up in the virtue of hard work (or the impression of it), and work ethic clearly is required to get to the level Watt or any other NFL player has reached. But as too many coaches who took too much pride in sleeping at the office eventually realized, there’s a difference between working visibly and working well. The Texans announced they re-signed receiver DeAndre Carter Braxton Miller Jersey , defensive end Angelo Blackson and defensive end Joel Heath on Monday. They also extended qualifying offers to nose tackle Brandon Dunn, kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn and outside linebacker Brennan Scarlett. The Texans claimed Carter off waivers on Nov. 7. He also returned 16 punts for an average of 9.1 yards and nine kickoffs for a 24.6 yards average.Blackson Whitney Mercilus Jersey , 26, has spent the past two seasons in Houston. Lions defensive lineman A'Shawn Robinson faces a prove-it season. He is entering the final year of his rookie contract Matt Prater Jersey White , needing a big year either to re-sign with the Lions or to find a big deal waiting for him in free agency.Robinson, a second-round choice in 2016, has played 45 of a possible 48 games in his career but doesn’t have any honors or big stats to show for it.The former Alabama star, though Trey Flowers Jersey White , is unconcerned about his future. He might that quite clear Monday.“I ain’t worried about none of that [stuff],” Robinson said, via Dave Birkett of the . “That [stuff] don’t matter to me right now. What matters is us trying to be the best team we can be so we can get to the playoffs and have a chance to win the Super Bowl.”Robinson had his best season in 2018 when he made 49 tackles in 13 games before a knee injury ended his year. He is expected to play left end and defensive tackle this season, so he should get chances to earn a big payday come March.“Going into my fourth year http://www.lionslockerroom.com/authentic-levine-toilolo-jersey , I think it’s a blessing,” Robinson said. “Not many people have this opportunity so I just take it as that and God gave me this ability so I got to take it and utilize it for these guys out here.” While the Detroit Lions are still riding a high off of a big win against the Miami Dolphins and a reported trade that will land them one of the best run-stuffers in the league, the team was dealing with injuries to two of their most important defensive players.Linebacker Jarrad Davis spent the beginning of practice having a long talk with head coach Matt Patricia while the rest of the team did warm-up stretches. When positional drills began, Davis spent the next 10-15 minutes on the ground with a trainer stretching his legs. By the end of the open portion of practice Womens Ricky Wagner Jersey , Davis was on his feet and walking through drills, but he was clearly not a full participant. Davis is coming off arguably the best performance of his young career. His play against the Dolphins landed him on PFF’s Team of the Week, and we broke down what made him so good on Sunday. Even with his inconsistent play, his absence would be felt if he can’t go against a run-heavy Seahawks team.It would also be devastating if Darius Slay misses Sunday’s game. The Lions cornerback spent considerable time with a trainer during Wednesday’s practice who appeared to be taping his right ankle. He returned to practice afterwards and appeared to be going through drills at normal speed shortly thereafter Womens Dwayne Washington Jersey , but it’s definitely something to continue to monitor as the week goes on. In positive news, running back Theo Riddick returned to practice after missing last week. He didn’t go through many drills, but the fact that he was out there and dressed means he’s trending in the right direction for a return after his knee injury.

Film Room: Bengals can exploit big issues in Steelers’ pass defense The Steelers have had a lot of problems in their secondary this season. They have struggled to stay with receivers in man coverage Renell Wren Jersey Mens , break on the ball in zone coverage, and at times seem to not have a clue what they are doing. With the Bengals’ pass game clicking, Pittsburgh could be in for a long Sunday. The only teams who are allowing more passing yards per game this season than the Steelers are the Chiefs (the Bengals Week 7 opponent), the Buccaneers (Week 8 matchup for Cincy) and the Saints (who the Bengals play Week 10 following their bye). In short, if Dalton is available in your fantasy league you should pick him up, because he is likely to go H.A.M. over the next few weeks. Here is a look at why the Bengals will be throwing all over the Steelers. The Steelers have looked absolutely lost in pass defense at times this season. I am not sure what reaction former Bengals head coach and Steelers defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau would have to this play. He may laugh at how clueless the Steelers (who moved on from him as DC) are, but my guess is as someone who loves great defense it probably makes him quite angry. It looks like it was supposed to be some version of Cover 3, but the deep safety looks to be playing a robber technique and the middle of the field is wide open for an easy Chiefs touchdown. Here is another example of just how inept the Steelers defense can be. Not that I am trying to rub it in but... oh who am I kidding, it is the Steelers, I am definitely trying to rub it in. Joe Haden is the cornerback at the top of the screen with Cameron Sutton lined up just inside him. This looks like cover three, but both defensive backs on the top seem to not be sure if they are playing the deep third or the flat. They look like they are running a drill together as they move very similarly. They bracket Ravens wide receiver John Brown on his right and left Youth Renell Wren Jersey , but they do not stay on top of him, and he runs right by them for the touchdown. The Steelers run both Cover 2 and Cover 3. Zone coverages always have holes that an offense can take advantage of if the defense does not make proper reads, react on time, and make tackles. On this play Mohamed Sanu finds a nice little soft spot in the coverage and Matt Ryan finds him. Free safety Sean Davis and linebacker Jon Bostic both took awful pursuit angle allowing Sanu to turn this play into a touchdown.Once again the Steelers allow the Falcons to gain yards after the catch. This time it is linebacker L.J. Fort who takes a bad angle and missed the tackle because he reaches and lunges. Falcons tight end Austin Hooper caught a short pass and was able to convert it to a 14 yard gain. The Steelers struggle to make tackles in the pass game.It is Artie Burns who looks like an absolute fool on this one. Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans absolutely torches Burns on the vertical route on the top of the screen. This is a coverage in which Burns is responsible for a deep field zone, and he cannot stay on top of the route. This has been a recurring problem for the Steelers with deep routes in both zone and man coverages. The Steelers bringing a 6-man pressure and are in Cover 1 with Davis playing deep and the linebackers and other defensive backs playing man coverage. On the top of the screen, cornerback Coty Sensabaugh, slips as Evans makes the cut on his dig route. With only deep safety help inside, quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick is able to deliver the ball to Evans for a first down. The Steelers frequently play man when they run their 5 and 6 man pressures and these types of occurrences are not uncommon. Here the Steelers are in a coverage known as either cover 2 man or man under. In essence, the are playing with two high safeties as they would in cover 2, but playing man underneath this shell. This can be a difficult coverage to get a completion on, but throwing a ball to an inside receiver forcing him to turn and quickly adjust to a high hard pass will do the trick. The first clip shows how the Buccaneers accomplished this with wide receiver Chris Godwin White Renell Wren Jersey , and the second shows the Bengals completing a similar ball to A.J. Green. This is a play from the Bengals final drive to beat the Falcons in Week 4. They ran this same play twice on the drive, because the Falcons were running man and wide receiver Tyler Boyd was able to get open on this route both times. Boyd is the second receiver from the bottom of the screen and is lined up close to C.J. Uzomah who is the third receiver. Uzomah releases vertically and Boyd cuts underneath him. Uzomah’s route creates a pick that gives Boyd just enough room to make the play. Expect the Bengals to have “man-beaters” like this in the game play against the Steelers. With all of the problems the Steelers have on defense, this could be a big week for Dalton Green, and Boyd. Expect the Bengals to take advantage of the Steelers’ poor reads and tackling in zone coverage. They will also have success with man-beating routes and passes to running backs Joe Mixon and Mark Walton out of the backfield. John DeFilippo has re-emerged in Jacksonville. Which obviously means that Jacksonville could emerge as a contender for Eagles quarterback Nick Foles.DeFilippo, the quarterbacks coach during the Super Bowl run that saw Foles become the MVP of the league’s championship game, knows Foles well, and has had success with him. With Blake Bortles clearly on the outs, the Jags will be looking — and DeFilippo will surely be lobbying for Foles. For a team that has the talent to contend, a quarterback like Foles could be the answer, especially in light of his views on the importance of relationships and teamwork. The question becomes whether the Jaguars can finagle Foles’ rights, whether it happens through the free agency process or by a trade with the Eagles. If it’s the latter Nick Vigil Jersey White , the Eagles surely would be happy to comply. They’d love to steer Foles out of the division (the Giants and Washington may be interested), and they won’t see the Jaguars in a regular-season setting until 2022. Whether it’s Jacksonville, Miami, Cincinnati, Denver, or someone else in the AFC, the Eagles would like nothing more than the ensure that Foles won’t resurface in the NFC East.Maybe that’s where the compromise could happen. Even though it would be an unenforceable side agreement that could get the Eagles in trouble (if anyone were to blab about it), the Eagles and Foles could agree on a wink-nod basis to let Foles walk away as a free agent if he makes it clear that he won’t roll in either direction on I-95 but instead head to a team with which the Eagles doesn’t directly compete.

The Bears have signed three kickers since releasing Cody Parkey http://www.pantherscheapshop.com/cheap-authentic-greg-little-jersey , but they may not be done making additions at the position. The Bears have five picks — one each in the third, fourth and fifth rounds and a pair of seventh-rounders — in this week’s draft and General Manager Ryan Pace said on Tuesday that he’s open to using a pick on another kicker if they have one at the top of their board at some point in the next few days.“It just depends on where you have the kicker graded,” Pace said, via TheAthletic.com. “If he’s graded at that value and we get to that place in the draft and that [name] is sticking up there that high Will Grier Jersey , I think you have to explore it.”The seventh-round picks would be likeliest spot for the team to take a kicker, but one imagines the Bears were paying attention on Tuesday when word of Robbie Gould‘s trade demand broke. Gould mused about a return to the Bears before the 49ers franchise-tagged him and his family is there, which may make it a place the Bears look as they try to solidify the position. Colts General Manager Chris Ballard has been drenched in praise for the job he did putting together a Colts team that went from 4-12 in 2017 to 10-6 with a playoff win in 2018, but he made it clear on Monday that his job isn’t anywhere close to done.Ballard heads into an offseason with a strong core of players http://www.pantherscheapshop.com/cheap-authentic-christian-miller-jersey , lots of cap room and a healthy package of draft picks to use toward making what he calls the “hard step” from being a good team to a great team. Ballard said he absolutely believes Indianapolis has become “an attractive place” for players, but that doesn’t mean he’s going to blow the doors down when free agency opens in March.“When it gets out of reach, I just think we are comfortable enough to sleep at night saying we are going to find [another] answer,” Ballard said Jordan Scarlett Jersey , via the . “Sometimes it might be the household name that everybody wants us to sign, and that’s OK. I get it. But we are going to find an answer. Whether it’s in the first window of free agency, or maybe it’s in the second window, maybe it’s the draft Jonah Williams Jersey , maybe it’s after the draft, maybe it’s at the cut-down day. There’s times to acquire players at all points in the season.”Ballard’s track record provides confidence that he’ll find the right answers to the questions that face the Colts as they try to turn this year’s success into the foundation for a long run.

Somewhat surprisingly Sheldrick Redwine Jersey , the Patriots dumped quarterback Brian Hoyer on Saturday, leaving a rookie as the backup to Tom Brady. Somewhat not surprisingly, coach Bill Belichick publicly offered no real insight on the decision, or on the possibility of whether Hoyer’s absence is permanent or potentially temporary. That said, Belichick did not rule out a return by Hoyer to the team he re-joined in 2017, after Jimmy Garoppolo was shipped to San Francisco.“I thought both players played well in camp,” Belichick told Mike Petraglia of CLNSMedia regarding Hoyer and Jarrett Stidham, via Mike Reiss of ESPN.com. “I like both players. In the end, there are a number of considerations that you have to make . . . it’s a long season, so we’ll see what happens.”Because Hoyer isn’t subject to waivers, he has freedom to go wherever he wants. Or nowhere, sitting tight and waiting for the Patriots to bring him back if/when the need arises or the numbers allow it.Meanwhile http://www.brownsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-austin-seibert-jersey , the XFL should be paying attention to this one. At a time when Commissioner Oliver Luck had been eyeballing the ho-hum competition between Geno Smith and Paxton Lynch in Seattle (they both lost, at least for now), Luck should turn his eyes to Hoyer, who has 37 career NFL starts and who has played well when healthy. NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Andrew Luck is a win away from putting the Indianapolis Colts back into the playoffs for the first time since 2014 while doing something no NFL quarterback has managed since at least 1970.Beat an opponent 11 straight games.Luck has won his first 10 games against the Tennessee Titans, matching Hall of Famer John Elway, who went 10-0 against the Patriots. Another victory Sunday night would leave Luck all alone in dominating another team with an AFC wild-card berth at worst for the Colts (9-6).Article continues below ...Not that Luck is counting on past success, especially after the Colts needed a late TD to edge the Giants 28-27 for their eighth victory in nine weeks.“What happened previously and what happened in previous years, it doesn’t matter,” Luck said. “What happened last weekend does not matter. It’s a new cycle.”Tennessee safety Kevin Byard refuses to ponder why Luck has tormented the Titans so. The Titans are 2-3 against the Colts in Byard’s three seasons —Luck missed 2017 with a shoulder injury — and four straight wins have Tennessee (9-6) a win away from a second straight postseason berth.By kickoff, they’ll all know exactly what’s at stake. The AFC South title will be up for grabs if Houston loses to Jacksonville. Even crazier for the Titans, a No. 2 seed with a first-round bye would be available if the Texans Trysten Hill Jersey , Patriots and Ravens all lose. That’s more than enough to keep the Titans focused.“We’re just blessed to be in this position to be playing for a playoff game, so that’s all the motivation that guys need,” Byard said. “They’ll be motivated, we’ll be motivated. It’ll be a fun game.”Some things to know about the final game of the NFL’s regular season:MARIOTA’S STATUSThe Titans may not know if quarterback Marcus Mariota will play against the Colts. Mariota was knocked out of the Titans’ 25-16 victory over Washington last weekend with a stinger — the same injury that kept him out of a 38-10 loss Nov. 18 in Indianapolis. Mariota is optimistic he’ll play instead of backup Blaine Gabbert.“This is what it’s about,” Mariota said. “You’re playing for everything. I’m doing everything I can day and night, and just trying to make sure that I can be ready.”ONE-SIDEDThis division rivalry has been one of the most lopsided in football over the past 15 years.Since losing three straight against the Titans from 2000-02, Indianapolis is 25-6. While the Titans often came up short against University of Tennessee grad Peyton Manning, they have been even worse against Luck. It’s not just Luck and Manning who have been problematic for the Titans. Matt Hasselbeck and Dan Orlovsky, now both ESPN commentators, also beat the Titans in backup roles. Hasselbeck also played for the Titans from 2011-12.MISSING PIECESThe Titans will be without a pair of defensive starters. Four-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Jurrell Casey (left knee) was placed on injured reserve Monday , a week after cornerback Logan Ryan went on IR with a broken left leg. If starting linebacker Brian Orakpo misses a third straight game with an elbow injury, that would be a big hit for the NFL’s No. 2 scoring defense.Tennessee defensive coordinator Dean Pees will be available for a unit that has allowed two offensive TDs over the past four games. Pees missed most of the first game against the Colts after being taken to an Indianapolis hospital http://www.cowboysauthorizedshops.com/authentic-connor-mcgovern-jersey , where he spent the night. The Colts are banged-up as well, waiting for tight end Eric Ebron to clear concussion protocol, while center Ryan Kelly has an injured neck.DEFENDING HENRYOne difference from the last game between these teams is Derrick Henry. The Titans running back leads the NFL with 532 yards rushing and eight TD runs in December, though he had nine carries for 46 yards against the Colts in November.“He’s as good as advertised,” Colts linebacker Anthony Walker said. “He’s big, he’s explosive, and when he gets outside he’s a problem in the open field. Definitely, have to get him before he gets going.”ONE FOR THE AGESAdam Vinatieri has been achieving new feats all season and can add a couple more just three days after celebrating his 46th birthday. If the league’s oldest active player — and NFL’s new career scoring leader — simply appears Sunday, he would break a tie with Jeff Feagles (352) for the third-most games played in NFL history and become only the fourth player to participate in a game at 46. The others are George Blanda (48), Morten Andersen (47) and John Carney (46).And he may not be finished yet.Vinatieri signed a one-year contract in March to stay with the Colts and has expressed interest in continuing to play in Indy next season.

Emboldened by a recent comment from the local district attorney that Hill currently isn’t the subject of an active criminal investigation, while selectively ignoring the NFL’s comment that this development has no impact on its review of the situation, the Tyreek truthers have gone on the attack, insisting that Hill is “innocent Qadree Ollison Jersey ,” demanding that he not be suspended, and shouting down anyone who would dare to mention that there’s much more to the story than the question of whether Hill will or should be prosecuted for child abuse. The Personal Conduct Policy sweeps far more broadly than that. Beyond the fact that the NFL can, and will, investigate and punish a player for domestic violence even if he’s never arrested or charged (, Ezekiel Elliott), the NFL also can, and will, punish a player for domestic misconduct that does not involve actual violence.Indeed, the very first type of prohibited conduct listed under the policy covers “[a]ctual threatened physical violence.” (Emphasis added.) In other words, threats alone are enough.Ravens cornerback Jimmy Smith learned that lesson last year, when he received a four-game suspension for threats and emotional abuse of the mother of his three-year-old child, apparently within the context of a custody dispute.“The NFL found evidence of threatening and emotionally abusive behaviors by Jimmy toward his former girlfriend that showed a pattern of improper conduct,” the Ravens said when the suspension was announced last year. “Our player’s behavior was inappropriate and wrong.”The behavior also wasn’t violent.“I’m very close to Jimmy and it’s unfortunate with what happened,” former teammate Eric Weddle said at the time. “It’s hard to fathom arguing with your [significant other], never touching her and that gets you a suspension like this when guys are getting DUIs or physically abusing other people, and they never get near this [penalty]. I know details of it that I can’t get into, so I just feel bad for him.”Hill admits that he said to Crystal Espinal earlier this year, “You need to be terrified of me too, bitch.” The comment came during an argument with Espinal regarding whether Hill’s son respect Hill or is terrified of him. It’s for the league to decide whether that comment from Hill to Espinal amounts to a threat. Given that Hill previously admitted to choking and beating a then-pregnant Espinal in December 2014 Rashan Gary Jersey , it’s hard to regard his comment as idle chatter. And Hill’s past conduct, for which he was never disciplined by the league because he wasn’t in the league yet when it happened, surely will influence the league’s handling of him now. What Hill previously did to Espinal was reprehensible; even the most ardent Chiefs fan will admit that. His comment — you need to be terrified of me too, bitch — suggests that the person who choked and beat Espinal more than four years ago is still lurking within him. That person requires intervention by the league, and if the league gave Jimmy Smith a four-game suspension with no history of violence or other misbehavior toward the mother of his child, Hill arguably merits at least that much. Then there’s the ongoing proceeding that resulted in the removal of Hill’s son from Hill’s custody. Something like that doesn’t happen without serious, proven concerns that the child has been placed at significant risk, and the Personal Conduct Policy specifically prohibits “[c]onduct that poses a genuine danger to the safety and well-being of another person.”Applying basic logic, if Hill’s behavior created a situation that prompted the government to remove his son from Hill’s custody, Hill necessarily engaged in behavior that poses a genuine danger to the safety and well-being of another person.Applying more basic logic, the league’s decision to delay its investigation while the Child Protective Services matter remains active suggests that the league has specific questions and concerns regarding the overall circumstances that resulted in Hill’s son being removed from Hill’s custody, regardless of whether those circumstances involve violence or threats of violence or emotional abuse. So even without proof of violence, Hill can be suspended. He can be suspended for threats or emotional abuse of Espinal, Hill’s son, or both. Hill’s history of violence against Espinal, choking and beating her while pregnant, would become an aggravating factor that could make Hill’s suspension much longer than the four games Smith got last year.
